Description Another homework assignment. I think I still have to add sounds to the links and a mask somewhere, but this is pretty much it.
I always try to make something useful in my homework assignments, so this is the Beta for Suta-Raito's new tutorial section. =} Which uh...will be released when the whole site goes through renovations.
And I have no idea when that will be.

I'll probably make the sidebar more fancy later, or at least not a square. I should really match it to the imaginary layout I haven't planned out yet.

Scrapped because it's a homework assignment? xD

Edit: Fixed the links so they're easier to click. =}

It's just flash, pretty popular program. It comes with the Adobe CS3/4 packages now.

Wow this really helps! Now I understand why you shade so amazing ;-;

I'm getting a tablet tuesday... I'm getting tired of coloring without layers. Its very frustrating. D=

Thanks again for this its really gonna come in handy ^^

ShadowOfAlley [2008-02-28 23:00:02 +0000 UTC]

This is really good, especially those tips about body motion and action lines. Also constructing things with basic shapes, I've been thinking about these specific things a lot recently and how something simple can make the end result more fluid..hot damn those traditional animators were onto something eh?

I never realized about that backlighting thing, one of my 3D teachers mentioned this but I never really thought about applying it to my 2D art.

Very great! The only thing is are the buttons are a little hard you click. You might was to expand their click area by just a bit. I love how you color in flash though it is awesome!

PhredLevi [2008-02-08 13:32:26 +0000 UTC]

It's cool, but It's got that old version of Wii Internet Channel annoying thing where I have to actually click on the lettering of the links to use them.
Although I don't know how easy it is to get it to read the area around the text, so don't listen to me.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kuitsuku In reply to PhredLevi [2008-02-08 14:39:38 +0000 UTC]

I noticed that too but I was way to lazy to change it. xD I'll probably put rectangles behind the words so you can click in the box area instead of exactly on the word.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Tansunn In reply to Kuitsuku [2008-02-08 14:56:08 +0000 UTC]

Just a little tip for the buttons. When you're creating them, you'll have 4 frames - Up, Over, Down and Hit. The Hit frame doesn't actually appear, it just allows you to define a shape for the button. That way, when the cursor hovers over the area designated by the Hit frame, it will register, as opposed to only registering when hovering over a visible portion, such as the text. That way you don't have to deal with putting a rectangle behind each Up, Over, and Down frame, and it won't change the way it looks either.

Kuitsuku In reply to Tansunn [2008-02-08 15:02:28 +0000 UTC]

Oh dang, I just read this after I added a rectangle. xD Thanks though, that really helps! ouo
