This was the view of the eastward fleeing thunderstorm as the sunlight began to dance in and out of the accumulating cloud cover. What I love about this pano is the contrast of the extreme darks under the belly of the thunderstorm and wall cloud and the bright, spotty sunlit wheat field and haybails. What I don't like about this pano is the contrast of the extreme darks under the belly of the thunderstorm and wall cloud and the bright, spotty sunlit wheat field and haybails. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it was an amazing, but very brief moment that had us scrambling to capture the scene, but the heavy contrast made it difficult. There was heavy rotation associated with the storm and numerous sightings of funnels. However, the underside of the wall cloud was shrouded in heavy rain at times and difficult to spot and tornado touch downs.
