Description Western Oklahoma - 5/19/2010

This picture was taken just north of Watonga, OK. The rotating wall cloud is center image, partly shrouded by the rain of the rear flanking downdraft. This storm produced a tornado several times and in this case, was somewhat hard to determine if one was forming due to the rain. You can see several lowerings under the base of the wall cloud, and possibly a forming funnel/tornado. Overall, a fun and exciting day of chasing clouds!

Many more pictures to come!

It's pretty amazing to see the power these storms possess, but I admit, I don't much like it when they get really close to my home!

You can see a funnel directly in the center of the picture under the wall cloud. Infront of the rain.

I think you are right. The rain wrapping around it sure makes it hard sometimes to tell if something in it or not!

It happens. Funnel clouds aren't interesting though, lol.
Did you get any good pictures from the storms this past week?!?!
