This started with a dinner discussion with the people who are listed at the top of the tutorial...
Parts of this are based on real instances. God knows the notes and questions that those poor thousands-of-pageviews artists get. I pity them!
I also get really weird questions from people I don't know that are like "omg how i draw leik u??//"
No, don't ask that. Just don't.
I suppose this is also because I hate the crap that's getting posted... Stick figures rarely are art, kiddies.
This is not an attack on any one person!
It's just for fun!

there are people out there that are more then willing to help

I CAN'T teach you HOW to draw. Drawing is an individual activity, which another person can not teach you how to do. Either you have the determination and talent to create art worthy of respect, or you simple DON'T.
begging artists for help will not make you a wonderful artist. ENDOFSTORY.

Haha, I don't get comments asking me that, but I can imagine how annoying it is. The most I ever ask of people is "can you give me tips on anatomy?" cause I suck at it. But I mean, I've seen people who are constantly like "BAAWWWW I CAN'T DRAW TEACH ME YOU'RE AWESOME" and it's just like, "Dude. Shut up."

I GET what your saying, I'm not the best at all, but I get comments from mere children,"Ok, tomorrow, teach me to draw like you."
It's taken me FIFTEEN YEARS just to get this far, and they expect it t click for them in one afternoon; they just don't have a passion for it, and if I even teach them a LITTLE, they give up because "it's too hard."

people come onto this site, and expect to be like their idols if:
they have the same art program
are taught by them
and
get enough watchers to encourage them
NO.

It doesn't work that way, kiddies!
We can't teach you TALENT
we can teach you ARTISTIC DRIVE
and you certainly cannot 'draw like us' if you simply have the same version of Photoshop.
(I work with the old, cheap PS elements 5.0, and most people seem to enjoy my work, so it's obvious that having the same program as your idol will NOT automatically up your skill level to their's.

Only through experience can you derive (sp?) skill, and it'll never be like "this" or "that" or "her's" or "this guy's".
It'll be YOUR style, unless you really try to copy and practice all day, which... if they did that in the first place......
Personally, I never even though of doodling as practicing, just doing something I loved.
xD! Totally! The same program doesn't mean it'll be as gorgeous as "this" when you get done.
I use mainly GIMP, it's nice to start out with, since I'm only recently loving to create digital....pictures. I'm not sure if it's art YET, lol.
Well, I can't even teach artistic drive, it's like, they get...bored with it, no patience. Personally, that's my problem with people longing to do art at a higher level.
I'm they type of person that could sit in a chair all day long doing nothing, because surely there's a reason I'm sitting there.
Most tots that ask to be taught by me wiggle in their chair the whole time;
which I never did; I never was like that; therefore, I can't relate to them at all.
And they're like "oh! you can teach me to draw this person!" and I put a tutorial, they get it right, and then they are uspset because they can't draw the person from a differet perspective, other than the one they learned. >_👍: 0 ⏩: 1
