This started with a dinner discussion with the people who are listed at the top of the tutorial...
Parts of this are based on real instances. God knows the notes and questions that those poor thousands-of-pageviews artists get. I pity them!
I also get really weird questions from people I don't know that are like "omg how i draw leik u??//"
No, don't ask that. Just don't.
I suppose this is also because I hate the crap that's getting posted... Stick figures rarely are art, kiddies.
This is not an attack on any one person!
It's just for fun!

Hell no. Having patience with the rude people and being willing to help them out is definitely something you can be proud of. Just don't let yourself get abused!

Yeah...I'll take care of that. It has happened to me twice that people took advantage of me willing to help them with something (an online game or a piece of art) and started asking for absurd things

It's interesting how many people see this and misinterpret it or blow it out of context.
When I started on DA, I was definitely posting mediocre artwork. I'm just glad I didn't give up and storm out in a cloud of slurs.

I was a little shocked at first with how people reacted to this, but I guess it should have been expected. I was naive (insert little accent thingie that's supposed to be there)!

Some people don't realize that their questions may be annoying, but there isn't shame in it as long as you didn't act like a complete jerk to begin with. I don't mind when people ask me questions about how I did something, or how to use some aspect of DA, but... some people are like, "Can you do this for me? Don't I deserve this? We're friends, aren't we!!?!??!" That's when it gets a little awkward.

Well said! I try not to bug people. I tend to learn best by just... getting out and getting more experience. I have an easier time teaching myself new tricks. Mostly it's just trial and error. I'm a wannabe photographer and model. I have a couple Mural doodles in my gallery as well, but they're nothing special--just something to break up all the photography (which prolly isn't all that great either, but I like it). I try to be as humble as I possibly can and I hope that one day I'll be good enough to actually have a few fans.

Hi, I'm just a random person who happened to see this, so I think I can help you with your ID.
1. Go to your gallery and click on the deviation you want as your ID.
2. Press the "Edit Deviation" button next to the deviation.
3. Once you're there, press the "Choose" button next to "Category"
4. Click "deviantART related" in the list and then click "deviantID" in the second list. Click OK.
5. Scroll down to Save Changes.
6. Now go to your profile and Edit the ID and it should be there for you. ^ ^
You can do that to any deviation you want as your ID, so I hope that helped. (I had trouble with this when I was new, so you're not the only one.
