Blanchieren

Masterlist:

He/him; asexual

Bio:
Blanchieren is the Kitvoren equivalent of a grumpy old man; he doesn't like anybody, sees the worst in everybody, and prefers to be left to his own devices. But underneath the grumpiness there is a terrifying psychopath who only finds value in those he literally mind controls, or those who are disposable enough to kill. The only kindness he's ever shown anyone was when he allowed a witch to briefly stay in his abode, mind-control free. Even then, he argues he only allowed it because of his ingrained hatred of humans- having one approach him so desperately despite being clearly afraid rubbed him in all the right ways and was a nice change from the blank expressions of those he enslaves. It was during this time he learned the joy of taunting and mentally messing with his victims, something he'd never considered before, and he thought the knowledge was worth sparing the witch's life.

Background:
Blanchy is one of the many Kitvoren who is old enough to have seen the Creators first-hand, but young enough to have only known a collared life. His experience in the laboratory was not pleasant- he was tortured nearly every day, poked and prodded and experimented on, and forced to fight his kin (as most Kitvoren were during that time).
The torture tripled when his odd colour mutation arose, peaking the scientists' interest and prompting forever more tests. Perhaps this power could be used to alter the impossible-to-predict palettes of other Kitvoren and make them war-suitable? When his powers turned out to be a method for mind control however (after an incident where he briefly gained control of a scientist and was almost able to break out of the testing room), it was determined that he was too dangerous to be near any other living creatures.
Years later his eyes began to glow- his second mutation. But the Creators barely paid any notice; by that time he had been in solitary confinement for several years, spinning him further into the psychosis that began presumably when he realized he could control others. His life consisted of being trapped in a small windowless cage, being served sparse amounts of food by a robotic system, until the Kitvorens made their escape.
He was among the last to be freed- his cell was located away from the majority and he was forced to wait for the facility's electrical system to be completely destroyed before being able to break out of confinement. But when he did, he immediately captured the first two Kitvoren he saw (known now as Eldritch and Elsk) and doomed them to be his personal pets; a sick way for him to express revenge for the lack of control he'd had on his own life until that point.
Since the escape, Blanchieren and his pets made their way further north, away from other life, and settled into a mountainous region. Any who cross into what he deems his territory are either killed by Eldritch and Elsk, or are made into Blanchy's puppet for a couple days of gory entertainment.

Likes:
- Torturing others
- Gore
- Absolute control/dominance over others
- Solitude

Dislikes:
- Literally everyone
- Especially those he can't control/break
- Warm climates
- Confined spaces

Other notes:
- When he absorbs too many colours, they often drip from his mouth, and in extreme cases, cause his skin to split open and leak colours as well. Colours can be 'purged' from his body by killing the one who the colours belong to (or setting them free, but he'd never do that). He's limited his permanent slaves to only Eldritch and Elsk to avoid over-saturation (pun intended).

Fun fact:
- Blanchieren is the creator of the Extracted Colour item in the heart shop! Don't worry about where he gets it from, though, he totally wouldn't harm anyone for a silly item like that...

Wow.. i love his fairly simple Black/White Design with a hint of color explosion. *-*

Also his Backgound/Characteristics are really interesting.. i'd love to see more of him. x3

(Btw.: Just in case you are interested: "Blanchieren" does not really translate to "whitening" but to "to blanch/to parboil" .. "whitening" in German would rather be something like "Weißen/Weißung/Bleiche/Bleichung/Aufhellen/Aufhellung")

Thank you! I don’t remember exactly how I got to the translation I’m using but I imagine it was probably because ‘to blanch’ means to whiten ^^ to my knowledge anyway— but thank you for the correction :0 I’ll probably adjust the name or give him a secondary name to match the definition better ^^

Aah, really? I didn't know that, since english isn't my first language. (:

I just googled it out of curiosity and found out it originated from the french word "blanchir" which indeed means "to whiten" .. but in german it's only used as the terminology for "partly cooking food by boiling" xD
