This subspecies of Kitvoren emerged only recently, so not much is known about them at current.
Preliminary studies and general observations indicate they've been infected with some sort of parasite; perhaps something similar to the Eyeblight infection Kitvoren end up with every now and then. The parasite seems focused in the mouth and neck, replacing the tongue entirely with one of its own snappy tendrils, and burrowing into the sides of the throat until they have passageways to emerge at will. The tendrils don't seem to eat though- their mouths appear to be a threat display more than a method of intaking nutrients.
The tail and the clawed hand at its end seem to be... almost sentient? But not quite. It often reaches for things the Kitvoren itself shows no interest in, and sometimes even attempts to attack the Kitvoren it's attached to. While it may have some primal instincts of its own that are separate from the main body, it is by no means intelligent.
Haunted Kitvoren are named so for the strange way they walk- slow, stiff movements. As if they're being urged forward by a light breeze. It's best to not look at their eyes for too long.

Creating a Haunted Kitvoren:
In lore, all pure-blood haunted kitvoren have parasites protruding from the sides of their necks with one replacing their tongue, high contrasted pupils, and a tail with a hand capable of grasping. They can also paralyze the movement of anyone who locks eyes with them… spooky.
However, for a hybrid or partial haunted, only the tail hand is required!
Lore-friendly hybrid/partial haunted kitvoren can only exist as splices, where two “parents” (haunted and non-haunted) have their DNA mixed to create an “offspring.” Kitvoren can not naturally reproduce so this is the only way it would be possible!
And yes, multi-seasonal hybrids are possible in lore :3c
