Bio:
Topsy is an uncharacteristically non-violent Kitvoren. She tries to avoid those who fight for anything other than self-defence, and even in those cases she believes harm should be kept as minimal as possible. Despite that, she doesn't close herself off from those people completely, nor does she discriminate against them, staying completely open-minded no matter how violent of acts they've committed. Her willingness to see past such things has earned her a reputation as a psychopath doing a bad job hiding her sick interests, though that really isn't the case. The only situation where she's been known to deviate from her belief is when anyone threatens her cafe, which she created as a safe place for Kitvoren who wish to integrate with non-judgemental humans. She is quick to match and end any violence directed at the cafe.
Beyond that, she is intrigued by different cultures and spends a lot of free time wandering and learning about people and their varied ways of life, or researching them intently through books or online. She's also an advocate for animal safety and although there is no solid evidence of this, some regular patrons of her cafe swear they've heard of or seen her rescuing animals from abusers through questionable means.

Background:
'Born' long after the Creators were destroyed, Topsy's existence wasn't planned out (as most Kitvoren's were post-escape). She was created after some drug-impaired hikers somehow managed their way past guarding Kitvoren and into the corpse of the laboratory, where they accidentally activated some machines and processes that eventually brought life to Topsy.
The guarding Kitvoren, realizing her creation was partly due to their failure to protect the lab, tried to grow and train Topsy to be a guarding Kitvoren as well- but she continuously showed no interest in such an important role. Though they tried for years, they eventually allowed Topsy to go out on her own, noting that she would be welcomed back if she found that life beyond the protected area was not what she was looking for.
However, she realized quite quickly that freedom from the lab was exactly what she needed. She travelled all over in her first several years, stowing away on airplanes and boats whenever she could, needing to see more of the world. When her thirst for travel was finally satiated nearly two decades after her creation, she decided to settle down on the outskirts of New York, knowing it wasn't quite time yet to freely integrate in such a large city, but still found herself desperately fascinated by it all the same.
She opened her cafe in the early 2000s, noting that Kitvoren need a place to test-run interactions with humans before setting foot in high-population areas. It quickly became popular for both species and her kindness helped earn the Kitvoren of that region a good reputation among humans.
Her relationship with Bloodsong formed not long after that when he was seeking refuge from a Kitvoren he'd tried to fight, but underestimated. Though she didn't condone the random violence he seemed to thrive off of, they hit it off surprisingly well and reached an agreement that he could visit or use the cafe as refuge when needed as long as he didn't bring his violence into the local regions. Topsy didn't forbid him from talking about it though, which is probably what caused most of the rumours she's dealt with since opening the cafe.

Other notes:
Topsy's markings don't appear on her human form's skin; because she's still quite fond of them however, she made her own clothing to mimic those markings and patterns. She prefers her human form most of the time, so it's important that she's able to show her colours!
