Some people asked, so here it is :3c

Whipped up a Kitvember calendar for you guys do work on if you'd like! Obviously it doesn't need to be done entirely in November, and you don't have to do the prompts exactly as written, but regardless how you use it, I hope you enjoy! I thought it'd be a good opportunity to put lore ideas in front of the community's face so you've kinda got two options with this calendar:

1- Use the simple, single-word prompts from the above image and interpret them however you want! You can twist these to be more season-relevant or just keep them abstract ^^

or 2- Use the more detailed, lore-filled version of the prompts listed below! Whether you're new or just haven't kept up with the lore, don't worry, I've added links and descriptions to help clarify the lore-related specifics of each prompt ^^

1. Birth
Early gestation stage (standard) or spawn location (unmasked)
Info: Standard kits are grown in tubes like what's shown here; www.deviantart.com/labaskervil…
Unmasked on the other hand simply spawn fully-grown in a random location.

2. Restricted
A cork on each spike
Info: Kitvoren generally hate having things stuck to their retractable spikes as it feels uncomfortable and prevents them from fully retracting.

3. Encounter
First time seeing a human
Info: Whether spawned in at random, created in a safe lab, or a less legal one, all kitvoren have a "first encounter" with humans. How'd that go for yours?

4. Reflection
First time achieving a human, halfling, or anthro form
Info: Kitvoren can take on human-like forms such as halflings (standard only), anthro, or humanoid.

Standard kits can't hide their darkened eyes or their sharp teeth when mimicking a human.
Unmasked can take on a fully human form with no kitvoren features showing at all!

5. Change
Drawn as a seasonal (or changed from/lacking their original season)
Info: Some kitvoren are part of seasonal sub-types which are often the result of transformation caused by external forces:

6. Sight
Wearing custom-fit glasses (on ALL eyes)
Info: Their head shapes are already a bit ill-suited for normal human-like glasses, but what about kits with eyes on their body?

7. Rebel
They won't fall into line so easily, they're going to make their own collar!
Info: Back in April, a global broadcast went out that all kitvoren had to be assigned special collars. However, naturally, not everyone was keen on the idea. Some kits turned to simply making their own custom collars, because they didn't trust the ones from Unity Labs.

Visiting/paying respects to the 1943 corpse.
Info: This kitvoren from 1943 was responsible for the species' escape from their creators and captors. On occasion, they will go visit the corpse. Standard can go in with no trouble, but unmasked usually need to wear special radioactive gear to survive in the corpse's chamber.

9. Discovery
Visiting/researching the Amber corpse.
Info: Spontaneously appearing in the Sahara desert, this corpse is still being tested to try and figure out its origins and how it ended up where it did. Curious kitvoren visit every now and then to see it for themselves.

He's basically a celebrity; why not grab a selfie with him while you can?
Info: Dr. Williams is the founder and director of Unity Labs, a facility dedicated to consensual kitvoren research. He's generally very popular among the masses. Don't listen to anyone who says he's suspicious, they're just jealous.

Info: 404 is a.. kitvoren? who roams freely nowadays. It's entirely possible you might snap an innocent photo... only to find it lurking in the background when checking the picture later...

12. Interrupted

Info: Blank is an entity that's not a kitvoren, but takes the form of a 2-dimensional, flat glowing kit with a long tail. It shows up at random and if it doesn't zap you into a different time and place for fun, then you might be lucky enough to get evidence of it on camera!

13. Fashion
Always be prepared with clothes, just in case.
Info: When a standard kitvoren changes form into a human, the clothes aren't included. So they need to bring a backpack or other bag with clothes, just in case they need to transform unplanned! What clothes do they bring, and what do they carry them in? And... how do extra small or extra large kitvoren handle the size change when they transform?

14. Family
Who is your kit's found family?
Info: Kitvoren aren't born in the traditional sense so they don't have blood-related family... except in the case of spliced offspring. Beyond that however, the closest thing to genetic family they have is similar-by-chance genetic code (for standards) or being spawned in the same location (for unmasked). Even without these physical similarities, kitvoren can form found families out of any beings, not just other kitvoren. So, who have they managed to find?

15. Dream
A dream they had while in the space before consciousness.
Info: Both standard and unmasked exist in an unconscious state for a while before waking up, fully grown. Surely they must have had dreams, maybe even things that affected their colours and patterns once they were finished developing.

16. Prepared
Wearing the military gear.
Info: In an alternate universe, the creators were successful and kitvoren were used as weapons of war. How would they look wearing the fancy military equipment?

17. Judgement
Doorways are pretty annoying, huh?
Info: Kitvoren navigating a human-built world is always a bit tricky; doorways are especially troublesome for very small or very large kitvoren. How do they deal with this? Or do they even have to worry about it at all?

18. Pet
Interacting with one of the pet species in their natural environment.
Info: The pet species are particularly popular with kitvoren, since most humans don't have the resources to care for them properly.

Info: Kitvoren are part of the world now, that's just a fact. But schools don't always... stick to the truth when it comes to history lessons. What kind of altered spin or misinterpretation of fact is popular with the humans your kitvoren interacts with? How did they react when they first heard these incorrect teachings?

20. Otherworldly
Messing around with the rainbow light pen.
Info: This strange pen was found at the site of the Amber corpse, and has been proven to hold a lot of useful information, answering any questions written with its ink. That's a lot of power to wield...

21. Flight

Info: Even kitvoren with wings had a first time! Whether it was natural or something like a plane or hot air balloon, how'd their first time in the sky go?

22. Hunt
First hunt.
Info: Naturally carnivorous, it's very rare that a kitvoren has never hunted anything. But not all of them go through with killing their prey, instead having second thoughts about it. Others, well, they like hunting a bit too much.

23. Conflict
Displaying their offensive skills (radiation blast for standard, venom for unmasked).
Info: Kitvoren have natural abilities as listed above that make them particularly hard to contain or defeat, even with human weaponry. It's rare when they decide to use these skills as it's often not needed, but it can be incredible to see it in action.

24. Talent
Displaying their less aggressive talents (or lack thereof).
Info: Most kitvoren are incredibly good at voice mimicry, or sound effects, anything vocal, really. Most kitvoren also are not great at visual artistry, painting, sculpting, etc. How does yours fare in these categories? Are they really good in surprising topics or just as bad as everyone else?

25. Soup
Brewing atomic soup.
Info: It's the lifeblood of standard kitvoren; a radioactive substance that keeps them alive. This makes it very valuable... and of course, at some point, the recipe got out. Now many kitvoren are trying to make bank on this literal potion of youth.

26. Bird
Stalking the song bird.
Info: The songbird is thought to be a messenger of Blank, as they share similar appearances. It often finds kitvoren to challenge and gives rewards if the kit wins. However, sometimes, a kitvoren will seek out the song bird intentionally.

Counting hearts (the old species currency).
Info: Back in the day, heart currency was literal real hearts, fresh or preserved. Nowadays it's more symbolic, using coins, heart-shaped rocks or chiselled bones. How many does your kit have, and what do they spend them on?

28. Decay
After death.
Info: Look into the future; how does your kitvoren meet its end, and what happens after?
For standard kits, they explode violently and decay similar to the 1943 corpse or amber corpse.
For unmasked, their final explosion and decay melts the physics of the surrounding area and their own bodies, creating twisted material and strange properties of the physical objects nearby.

29. Surface
Reading the trait list (and their reaction to it).
Info: Back in the early days, kitvoren were classed as more or less valuable or useful depending on their traits. This list was mostly used by the creators but was later updated to include unmasked traits, and seasonal traits. If your kitvoren looked at this list and read about their own traits, how would they feel?

Info: There's a lot of uncertainty in the lore at this point; 404's escape and resurgence, distrust towards Dr. Williams, the random vanishing and reappearance of important kitvoren-related things, the shuffling of the timeline itself, and Blank's unknown motives.
