(It feels pretty ironic that I mentioned, way back in the Angst Deluxe , that past the first installment of this series, the descriptions would get shorter than the first one's length. Me and my, literally, big mouth. XD)

Most of the time, I get pretty caught up in emotion when I make collabs like these. Although the components of this one are not in my immediate favourites, I hold this particular collab close in my heart as it was made shortly after I had watched the most recent Digimon Tri episodes.

Understandably so, emotions ran rampant with this one and I can't help but feel that the entire grey colouration of this one somewhat enchanced the somber feelings I had at the time. Edgar Alan Poe would be proud.* XD

*(No he wouldn't, I am but an infidel of the good arts. XD)

And we complete the "Whiner Duo Deluxe", as I like to call Joe and Mimi, with good ol' Dr. Joe. Originally starting on the same wrong leg as Mimi, except with him, it was somewhat more unbearable to watch, considering he is the oldest of the bunch and yet his cowardice always gets the better of him. Of course he did eventually man up and warmed up to me a lot, but him still exserting cowardice just because the show recquires him to be the token coward black horse of the team can really get to a man's nerves. x)

Although Gomamon was filling the ice-user theme for the franchise, I always saw more metalic/weaponized themes with him. Coupled of course by Gomamon's evolution line veering closer and closer towards weapon master levels. Thus, it made sense that the only full Steel-type line that has a Mega Evolution, the Aron line, would fit like a glove to the lovable seal baby. And in addition, the body types are also pretty scarily similar as well. Aron and Lairon go quad, much like Gomamon and Ikkakumon, and then Aggron goes full bipedal and so does Zudomon and Vikemon. All in all, a solid fit for our Sincere buddies.

Somberness aside, the grey/white of this piece is one of my favourites to look at. Definitely one of my favourites in terms of aesthetics. Join us next time for a more...hopeful image than this one. ;D
