I find it particularly interesting that Pokemon and Digimon have opted to go for some sort of reboots within their most recognisable facets of their respective franchises this year. The games for Pokemon and the Adventures show for Digimon. Having grew up with them for the past 20 years*, it certainly brings some fresh air into the fray, one that was much needed for both series in general.

It is also funny that I decided to make this crossover amidst these reboots. Wishful thinking for something like this happening in canon, mayhaps?

(Now, how shall I throw in Yu-Gi-Oh to the mix too... XD)

Izzy is mah man. Nerd bros to death. As a certified nerd myself, Izzy has always been my absolute favourite character of the bunch, followed closely by Sora. I always loved how his mannerisms would make you think he is an awkward nerd, but nope, he is a no-bars-hold resourceful guy and gets the business done. I adore his efficiency to bits.

And of course, Tentomon is the only bug bro I will ever accept in my life. Having Insectophobia, I rarely like or even withstand anything related to insects and bugs. But Tentomon struck a chord with me, and one that I still hold close to my heart to this day. Any discomfort Izzy may have had, Tentomon would instantly try to reason it out and get him outta the hitch. He is the ultimate butler Digimon. A butler Digimon that can evolve into a giant-ass hercules beetle and zap the shit out of you if you touch his Izzy bro. x3

...Is it obvious enough yet that I had a ton of fun making this particular collab? XD

Fangasming aside, it was obvious that Weedle and co. would be chosen for Izzy. Of course, it's not like we have any other full evolutionary line of Bug-types that end in a Mega evolution to choose from, but all the same, the designs still fit for the same transition that Tentomon had (ok, maybe not so much with Kakuna and Kabuterimon, but you get the idea XD). Overall, I am really satisfied with how this one turned out and I apologize for the fangasm above. XD

But worry not, the next one will be a bit calmer and definitely more...pure.

*(And now I want a Batman/Alfred-Izzy/Tentomon crossover too. Dang those crosses! XD)
