Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, while a good movie with great art design, creatures, and a relatively good story, marked the beginning of the franchise's downfall, precisely because of how far-fetched the stories were getting, And that's what brings us here today: I wanted to make a version of the creatures from the prehistoric underworld (even more so than the one from the ice age itself) that appear in the third movie, as well as two creatures pending in the sequel. The plot of the film is that the dinosaurs survived (who knows how and with a mysterious source of light down there) underground so as not to become extinct, and as we know the film is set in North America between Montana and Alberta, I used the latter dinosaurs that inhabited the end of the cretaceous at that site, which are basically those of the Hell Creek formation (except Alamosaurus), so it was not difficult to adapt the animals in the film with "real" versions, except for 2 aspects; the first being Rudy, who instead of a giant albino Baryonyx I designed as an albino Tyrannosaurus of enormous proportions, to fit this logic. And as for the characters in the second movie "Maelstrom and Cretaceous" instead of doing it as marine reptiles I opted to turn them orcas, since it is assumed that these 2 creatures were frozen in continental ice that was formed during the same Pleistocene, not during the era of dinosaurs, so instead of reptiles I changed them for large marine mammals; a couple of killer whales.

La era de hielo 3 el origen de los dinosaurios si bien fue una buena película con un gran diseño de arte, criaturas y una historia relativamente buena, marcó el inicio de la caída de la franquicia, precisamente por lo descabelladas que estaban volviéndose las historias, y eso es lo que nos trae hoy aquí: quise realizar una versión de las criaturas del mundo subterráneo prehistórico (aun mas que el de la misma era de hielo) que aparecen en la tercera película, además de dos criaturas pendientes de la secuela. El argumento de la película es que los dinosaurios sobrevivieron (quien sabe como y con una misteriosa fuente de luz allá abajo) bajo tierra para no extinguirse, y como sabemos la película se desarrolla en América del Norte entre Montana y Alberta, usé a los últimos dinosaurios que habitaron al final del cretácico en ese sitio, que son básicamente los de la formación Hell Creek (excepto Alamosaurus), así que no fue difícil adaptar a los animales de la película con versiones "reales", excepto por 2 aspectos; siendo el primero Rudy, el cual en vez de un Baryonyx albino gigante lo diseñé como un Tyrannosaurus albino de enormes proporciones, para ajustarlo con esta lógica. Y en cuanto a los personajes de la segunda película "Maelstrom y Cretaceous" en vez de hacerlo como reptiles marinos opté por volverlos orcas, puesto que se supone que estas 2 criaturas quedaron congeladas en hielo continental que se formó durante el mismo pleistoceno, no durante la era de los dinosaurios, así que en lugar de reptiles los cambié por grandes mamíferos marinos; un par de orcas.
