Modern elephants, of both species, both Loxodonta (African elephant) and Elephas (Asian elephant) tend to have a normally peaceful behavior, however on occasions, mainly the males of both species tend to be extremely aggressive in rutting seasons, when these animals enter in a state called "musth" that makes them extremely aggressive and irritable in the presence of other creatures, even animals of the same species. In this illustration I wanted to represent the same state but in the species Mammuthus primigenius; the woolly mammoth, shown in 2 examples:
In the first a male mammoth in "musth" attacks a cave lion (Panthera spelaea), enraged by its presence.
In the second example it is a mammoth attacking a woolly rhinoceros (Coelodonta antiquitatis).
I do not like to commonly represent animal "battles", since animals are not gladiators and they do not fight just for the sake of it, but they were scenes that I wanted to represent after seeing this photograph and this video:

Los elefantes modernos, de ambos géneros tanto Loxodonta (elefante africano) como Elephas (elefante asiático) tienden a tener un comportamiento normalmente pacífico, sin embargo en ocasiones principalmente los machos de ambas especies suelen ser sumamente agresivos en temporadas de celo, cuando estos animales entran en un estado llamado "musth" que los vuelve sumamente agresivos e irritables ante cualquier presencia de otras criaturas, incluso a animales de su misma especie. En esta ilustración quise representar el mismo estado pero en la especie Mammuthus primigenius; el mamut lanudo, mostrado en 2 ejemplos:
En el primero un mamut macho en "musth" ataca a un león cavernario (Panthera spelaea), enfurecido por su presencia.
En el segundo ejemplo es un mamut que ataca a un rinoceronte lanudo (Coelodonta antiquitatis).
No me gusta representar comúnmente "batallas" animales, puesto que los animales no son gladiadores y no pelean solo porque sí, pero fueron escenas que quise representar luego de ver esta fotografía y este vídeo:
