Yes! I'm finally getting around to this on deviantART! I love this one! I like how Trenton list looks so hopeless sinking into the water! Cornelia should be worried! Go get them girl! Haha! But seriously, her fishtail is so pretty! It looks an ornate dress and I love how you chose a koi fish design! It matches great with her fiery red hair! Beautiful!

Thank you so much!! My love of cinematic scenes is coming through in this series! lol I wanted to revamp Cornelia's look for this MerMay since the one from last year was sort of generic, so when I got to thinking about what fish would suit her, the koi was the first that came to mind!

Thank you! I've been using outlines a lot with my prismacolors since they help the characters to stand out from the background for scenes like this. Plus it doesn't look like they're being sucked into a darker-colored background!

It looks like the beginnings of a great story! Still love Cornelia with the koi tail! Plus the watercolours you've used for the background and the seaweed is beautifully painted and very neat around the linework- I'm so envious! I can never get mine to look that good!

This is the second one in the series, the third is the one I just posted on IG yesterday! I've got three more planned, but since there's only a week left of MerMay I might do two in a week and post the next one on Friday.

Wow this looks so much better here than I remember on instagram. The water is lovely, and I love the sense of distance you achieved in such a simple way! I also love how her body language tells it all without the need for potential speech
