I am currently trying to get back into some more creative modeling. so here are some rockets i tried to get done as fast as i could. i find doing this helps me get into the flow a bit more. trying out various shapes as i go.these may not be the most imaginative spacecraft to model but it does give me a lot of room to experiment with smaller details and patterns.
i tried out an alternative workflow with these. Using a well known trick with turbosmooth and smoothing groups so i didnt need to worry about support loops or topology much. i found this method has some limitations but still very valuable for experimenting with form and getting stuff done fast.
modeled in 3dsmax rendered in mentalray with basic materials, 3 point lighting rig.
