Description
Ok, one more before I go to bed. I hate to leave my comps on a number that isn't a multiple of three, but it's late where I am and I gotta get up in the morning. In the meantime, enjoy CC number eleven!F = Fakemon, P = Pterraforming, L = Lucid, R = Requests or fan art (Mostly fan art, F was already taken), T = Terraria, W = Wings
1: [Wings] A butterfly clipbeak, a derived clipilludid (which in turn are highly derived crocodylomorphs) most notable for the male's large and unusual crest resembling a butterfly's wings. Like all members of clipilludae, the butterfly clipbeak possesses finger-like splits in the wing, which are formed from a division of the membrane supported by each of the digits. They also posses long, hair clip like heads with a rudimentary locking system, spindly legs with non grasping toes, flattened, plated tails, protofeathers, and scutes over much of the body. Clipilludiforms are naturally bipedal, and combined with their pseudo-feathered wings often gives them the nickname "fake birds". Butterfly clipbeaks hold the title for largest crest in the clipilludae clad, so much so that it actually makes the males somewhat top heavy. Lacking hollow bones like other flying archosaurs, the crest has no internal support within it, and is proportionally heavier than that of hollow crests. Regardless, male butterfly clipbeaks are still strong fliers, and will preform aerial displays in conjunction with their flashy, brightly colored headgear to help attract females.
You can see the original clipilludae concepts here (although the information is outdated): Something a little different: Clipilludae concepts and Clipilludae basic body plan sketches
2: [Fakedex] The grasshopper nymph fakemon Hoplus, the token early-game bug type of the Naraht region. Extremely common throughout the Naraht region, they are most often found in sunny fields and meadows during the day. Hoplus are voracious eaters, and will consume just about any plant material they can get their jaws on. They will even attempt to eat the leaves and plants on Grass type Pokemon, which will usually fight back against them despite the type disadvantage. Hoplus can even eat toxic and deadly plants, which they can temporarily store in their bodies. Interestingly they are not poison types despite this. Due to their appetites they are often pests in gardens and farms, and as such people will deploy a number of ways to try to keep them out. Luckily Hoplus are heavily preyed upon, being eaten by a wide variety of different Pokemon species. Because of this, many farmers will deploy insect eating Pokemon to help protect their crops, such as bird pokemon like Pidgey and Starly. While Hoplus's wings are under-developed, they are adept jumpers, able to leap up to twenty times their body length.
You can see one of the last renditions of Hoplus (originally Nymgrass) here: locus fakemon redo-redo
3: [Lucid] Bagel, the pastry delivery trainlet. Trains are a prominent part of Tier 3 Lucid, most of which are hostile, but on occasion there are friendly individuals. Many of the trains and smaller "trainlets" are strange and abstract due to the otherworldly nature of the dreamworld. Bagel is both of these things. About four feet tall, metal with a clear glass dome window on each side, and shaped vaguely like a little tykes car , Bagel is certainly an unusual sight to behold. Bagel runs along a pulley track around the Dreamtoskey downtown area, and always has fresh pastries that people can purchase for a fee. Like most of the vehicles in Lucid, Bagel is "alive" in a sense, possessing a personality of their own and often interacting with others under their own free will. Bagel is extremely friendly to humans, with a chipper personality and often jingling and "dancing" (driving back and forth on the track and spinning on their axis) when people are around. The player first interacts with bagel early in Tier 3, and actually has to rescue them from the scrapyard due to false allegations of attacking people. In actuality these attacks were carried out by the other trains and trainlets, who have become increasingly aggressive over the course of the Tier.
4: [Lucid] The club-tailed giant frogfish, a dream fish in Lucid that was once again too unrealistic to include in the Pterraforming Project. Water is a huge part of Lucid, as the player character has grown up in the great lakes area and has been surrounded by swamps, rivers, lakes, and ponds their entire life, which of course then transfers to the dream world. The player character also has a fondness for aquariums and fish tanks, so these also appear quite often. As such many strange and nonexistent fishes make an appearance, such as the club-tailed giant frogfish. Being a marine fish, they can only normally be encountered when the player travels to a tropical part of the dream world (which does not accurately represent the real world), finds the hidden coral pond in Tier 2, or, more often, when they come across marine aquariums. The frogfish is quite large, appearing anywhere from three to six feet in length, although in terms of scale of some of the marine creatures the player can encounter they are actually more "average" sized. CTGFF are passive creatures to the player, fleeing from their presence or ignoring them when approached underwater. Interestingly the CTG frogfish bears a resemblance to the Tier 1 boss the Fearfish , although the two are unrelated. They also bear a resemblance to the draconian Gronkle from the How to Train Your Dragon series.
5: [Pterraforming] Another heavily plated creature, the scarlet narrowhead dresshead is a carnivorous ceratopsian from the Indo-Asian rainforests of Pterrearth. For an unknown reason, large theropods seem to have disappeared from the area during the late Eocene, but instead of small theropods taking their place, a group of protoceratops-like ceratopsians rose to fill the carnivorous niches. These are the dressheads, named for their unusual head shape that resembles that of a princess dress or ball gown and known for their fierce disposition. with sharpened beaks, slicing molars, hooked claws, and armored bodies, the dressheads are truly a force to be reckoned with. Even the fourth and fifth digits on the front legs have sharpened claw-like structures, which in dinosaurs are normally bare. In an ironic twist, dressheads display age based niche partitioning that changes over their lifetime, paralleling that of the extinct tyrannosaurus. When hatched, dressheads start out as small speedsters capable of climbing and grasping, later maturing into hulking tanks that rely on brute force to take down prey. In scarlet narrowhead dressheads, a prehensile tail is present, which in juvenile forms is used to help them live an arboreal lifestyle. Once matured, this structure remains but is mostly vestigial, as they are simply too heavy to climb anymore. While heavily armored, dressheads mostly only defend against each other, which will fiercely combat one another with their crushing bites and slashing claws.
6: [Fakedex] The late-Narahtdex fakemon Cattale, a dual stage fakemon that is extremely rare to encounter. Only found in certain cattail inhabiting wetlands, Cattales are solitary Grass-Water types that live a semi-aquatic lifestyle. Cattale hunt among cattails and reeds, using their own cattails to help them blend into their environment. They mostly hunt bird, rodent, and fish Pokemon, either slapping them out of the water with their paws or snatching them out of the air with great leaps. The tufts on the ends of their ears help funnel in sound, pinpointing hidden prey with an extreme acuity. Cattales are mostly nocturnal, and in game only appear at night. A trainer wishing to find one of these Pokemon can use the help of a flashlight, which will reflect off of their irises in the dark. While solitary in nature, Cattales are exceptionally affectionate towards their trainers, and will often greet their trainers with excited chirps and purrs. They are, however, quite energetic, and require lots of stimuli and exercise to stay healthy. They often will shred furniture, and will knock over items on shelves and counters, so they are not recommended for trainers who don't have the time to spend with them.
You can see one of the last renditions of Cattale and their evolution here: cattailed cats fakemon lineart
7: [Fan Art] Its-Seal-Time 's character Vincent, a pet moon phoenix owned by one of her main characters from her main project. Vincent's species is exceedingly rare, to the point that, thus far, he is the only one to have ever been kept in captivity. Corvus, his keeper, found him as an egg in the wild, which is basically like stumbling across a thylacine in the wild; it just doesn't happen. He's been with Corvus ever since, and is believed to be an adolescent, although due to how rare they are and how little is known about them it isn't certain. It is also unknown how long they live. Vincent is nocturnal by nature, and his powers wax and wane with the moon phases, being at max power during the full moon. Being a phoenix he can engulf himself in flames, and when at max power is able to create "white fire", which behaves more like liquid nitrogen than actual flame. White flame is also almost entirely unheard of, further reinforcing how much of an oddity Vincent really is. Extremely intelligent, Vincent surpasses even corvids and parrots, although one might not guess this from looking at his potoo like composition or unsettling gaze.
Again I don't have a link to any official art or description of him, so when any gets posted I'll update the description to add one.
8: [Lucid] Pack of Lucidian zombies dispatching an "Other", which they consider rivals for food. There are many different types of Zombies in Lucid, likely a result of the player character's childhood fear of corpses, including (but not limited to): the traditional revived corpses, infectious reanimated corpses, cartoony, realistic, and then starting in Tier 3, the Lucidian zombie. Different from most of the other iterations of zombies in the game, Lucidian zombies are notable for displaying high levels of intelligence, capable of pack coordination, deception, problem solving, and even maintaining some level of friendship with other members of their pack. In many ways they are more like pack hunting animals like wolves or lions than they are shambling corpses. They also seem to only be male, suggesting woman/girls are incapable of being infected, or at least never get to the "resurrection" stage of infection. Extremely agile, Lucidian zombies are capable of running at high speeds and powerful leaps in the pursuit of prey. This, combined with heightened senses of hearing and smell and inhuman levels of strength make them extremely dangerous enemies. Even worse, these zombies display a form of immortality, being able to be killed temporarily but eventually regaining consciousness, no matter how badly the body is dismembered. Lucidian zombies will bang on doors and walls in order to distract barricaded prey, then while the prey is distracted will search for a weak point in which to enter. They are ravenous, and will search for any source of meat to eat, even carrion or processed meat (something almost unheard of for other types of zombies). Due to this they are extremely territorial, and will attack and kill other hostile enemies in order to prevent any kind of competition for food. Despite this, the player can actually befriend Lucidian zombies either by providing food, helping injured pack members, or killing competition for them. Care must be taken though as they can become aggressive again if they aren't fed enough.
9: [Lucid] An "Other", a strange but dangerous human-mimic found in Tier 3, being dispatched by a pack of Lucidian zombies. Others tend to haunt abandoned or desolate areas, along with "carnobuildings" -buildings which have become Venus fly trap like entities that feed on players and non ROT creatures and disguise themselves as seemingly normal businesses or restaurants- and also seem to "infect" other normal buildings by sending out members to infiltrate them. In outward appearance Others are identical to that of actual humans, making it impossible to tell at a glance if someone is actually human or an Other in disguise. In behavior, however, is where they give themselves away. Others are described as being "violently friendly", often displaying an overly friendly demeanor while also desperately and aggressively trying to get to targets, which they will then attempt to lure into more secluded areas to dismember them (while still displaying "friendly" mannerisms). They also are described as being "too" human, almost as if trying to convince everyone of their humanity just a bit too aggressively. On the inside, Others seem to lack flesh and bones, instead being infused with roots, vines, soil, and clay, making them more "breakable" than actual humans. When cut, they exude a clear red fluid rather than blood. Because they prey on humans and other animals, they are considered competition by Lucidian zombies, who are unfazed by their disguise, and will kill on sight. By late Tier 3 Others become one of the most predominate monsters encountered by the player, so much so that nearly every area will have them.
10: [Lucid+Pterraforming] A common snake slug, a species of slug native to Europe notable for their extreme length. Easily mistaken for a worm at first glance, these long tan slugs slither their way through the underbrush in search of food. Snake slugs are carnivorous, and feed on both other slugs and earthworms. Rather than rasping with their radula , Snake slugs will swallow their prey whole, using suction to slurp the prey down to their stomachs. The snake slug uses its long body to crawl into holes and tight spaces, especially that of worms. The slugs will smell out the worms' castings while hunting, then will squeeze through the castings to get to the entrance of the worms' tunnel. They will also follow slug trails in search of potential prey, smelling them with their sensitive lower antennae. Snake slugs have also been observed to secrete the chemicals found in other species of slug's mucus, leaving trails for slugs hoping to find a mate to follow straight to them.
11: [Lucid+Pterraforming] Echina mole, a spiny species of mole commonly found in sandy areas of North American Pterrearth, such as the dunes of the great lakes region. While earthworms aren't found on North American Pterrearth due to them never being introduced, these close cousins of the eastern mole still have plenty of other invertebrates to feed on, some of which can only be found on Pterrearth. The smooth bodies of the moles make slipping through sand extremely easy, and their thick fur helps keep out the moisture from their homes. In dryer areas echidna moles don't tend to make permanent homes, but in wetter, more stable sand the moles will make loose tunnels, especially under tree roots. Armed with thick spines along their backs, the moles will roll into a ball with the quills extended when exposed, which is useful considering their habitat makes them fairly easy to unearth.
