Description Hey look, my favorite number!

Hey y'all, back again with another comp that's been sitting in my queue since October 18 2020. I've been sitting on it since I like to release these in threes, but number 14 has a creature I had to completely remove since I couldn't get it right (Ghost Train, turns out I suck at trains) so I have to find/draw something to replace it. I might just skip it for now and upload number 15 instead, but it'll depend on how fast I can type up the descriptions.

For those who haven't been following the series, the Creature Comps are a group of penned creatures either from my main projects (Galena Fakedex, Pterraforming, Lucid, a Terraria thing, and Wings) or fan art of other people's creatures from their own projects. Think of it as a sample tray for my/other's projects. It should be noted that, unless an "official" version of a creature is posted before the comp itself, all the designs in the comps aren't set in stone and may be different in their final version.

So with that said, let's get right to it!

F = Fakemon, P = Pterraforming, L = Lucid, R = Requests or fan art (Mostly fan art, F was already taken), T = Terraria, W = Wings

1: [Fakemon] One of the first Fakemon I ever created, the dual Grass/Poison type Spittew (formerly Pussew, and Pussum before that), a fakemon based off of the very strange edible seedcone of the yew tree (note that only the outside part of the cone is edible, the pit is very, very toxic). being based on yew cones, Spittews are surrounded by a cushiony outer "shell" that helps protect the inner body, which in turn is hard shelled. The outer shell acts as a shock absorber, protecting the Spittew from physical blows. It is also rather bouncy, allowing the Spittew to bounce around with little to no damage to them. Because of this, Spittews have very high defense and special defense stats, but low attack and special attack. While the outer shell protects the inner body, the flesh is edible, so many Pokemon will actually strip the shell off of Spittews and eat them, making the Spittew vulnerable. To protect from being eaten, the inner core is highly toxic. Once the shell is removed, the Spittew reverts to its previous evolution Conyew (formerly Seedeyew)
You can see the last iteration of Spittew and its evolutions here: THERE NOT ACORNS DANGIT  (please ignore the misuse of "there" there :/)

2: [Wings] A species of sky squirrel, a flying descendant of modern day (misappropriately named) flying squirrels. Unlike bats or even pterosaurs, the wing of the sky squirrel (clade fugasciurus) is supported by a single ossified rod sprouting from the wrist rather than any of its digits. This has left the paws of the sky squirrel fairly unchanged, allowing them to climb and grasp just as flying squirrels do. This, however, limits the flexibility of the wing as a whole, making them stiffer than the wings of other flying vertebrates. Sky squirrels are predominately nocturnal, and have a rudimentary echolocation system involving clicking and chattering from the mouth and tongue, which paired with extremely large eyes helps them navigate in the dark. The wings are soft and covered with a layer of fine fur, especially along the edge of the wings, which allows them to have silent flight. It also helps keep them warm, and allows some species to even be active during the winter.
You can see the original concept for sky squirrels here: Fugasciurus concept sketches

3: [Pterraforming] A male redwood titan in full mating display, bellowing, stomping, and inflating his display air sacs in hopes of catching a female's attention. Redwood titans truly live up to their names, being the largest and the tallest land pterosaurs ever to live on Pterearth. They are only beaten in size by their distant relatives, the pterosapian great blue pteroviathan. Like their names also suggest, they are found among the great redwood and sequoia trees of the North American west coast, their great height helping them forage amongst some of the less mature trees. They in turn act as eco engineers, knocking down smaller trees and grazing patches of branches, allowing more light to reach the forest floor below and giving more room for plants and trees to grow. This browsing forms green pathways along their more traveled routes, which are used both by their own growing young -which they watch over diligently- and animals who would otherwise not be able to reach the forage above. The body of a redwood titan is heavily modified to accompany their great size, such as having many powerful airsacs and reinforced hollow bones to reduce overall weight, strong ossified ligaments to reinforce their only six elongated but robust neck vertebrae, and powerful shoulders and chests to anchor their massive necks to their bodies. They, however, lack the long tails of the extinct sauropods, and as such have to be much stiffer overall to account for this lack of counterbalance.

4: [Pterraforming] Serpentipede, a species of millipede that mimics snakes to ward off predators. Lacking the chemical defense system of most millipedes, serpentipedes instead use mimicry to try and trick predators. This includes rearing up and "hissing", which is accomplished by rubbing rough segments of their bodies together. Bright red, yellow, and black segments then help to seal the deal. Serpentipedes are native to the Pterearthian North America west coast, living in the damp understory of the temperate rainforests. They are detritivores, feeding on rotting vegetation and fungus, along with things such as carrion and dung. The high humidity allows them to travel out in the open without drying out, allowing them to forage even during the day. Because of their bright coloration and lack of chemical defense, they are quite popular as pets, and in some places they are even bred as a food source by Homopteranus unlikelus, the dominant species of Pterearth. Collection from the wild, however, is frowned upon, as H. unlikelus are extremely environmentally conscious and consider taking from the wild -especially when captive populations of a species exist- as greedy and unnecessary.

5: [Lucid] The highly aggressive and dangerous ROTimal the carnohorse, a Tier 3 monster that will attack, kill, and devour anything within range, including other injured or dead carnohorses. Carnohorses are some of the more common ROTimals encountered, and can often be found in groups of three or more. Care must be taken by players to avoid detection, as when one carnohorse is aggoed, all become aggroed, and can quickly overwhelm players with their strength and speed. Carnohorses are an important part of a mechanic that is introduced in Tier 3, where the player must lock the doors to one of the three main houses at night to keep aggressive entities out. Carnohorses will attempt try and enter the house through the main sliding glass door, and failure to lock these doors will allow them entry, along with any other entity with them. Like most ROTimals, carnohorses posses jagged, crowded, overgrown teeth that sprout all over the gums and inside the mouth, continuously growing, breaking, and regenerating at a rapid pace. Their saliva is black, thick with rot, and their coat is covered with a powdery, sickly film akin to that of dried carrion fluids and carrion insect feces. Carnohorses also possess bony, fish rib like spines, thorns, splinters, and quills all over their skin and bones, which readily pierce skin when touched and spread the coating from their bodies into the wounds, infecting the victim with rot.

6: [Lucid] Hexarr, the overarching boss of Tier 1. Hexarr is a tar/sludge dragon loosely inspired by the paint dragon from the Pagemaster and the tar form of Hexus from Ferngully, the latter of which being where he got his name. He's actually one of my oldest creations, this being reflected in Lucid by being introduced very early In Tier 1 and quickly becoming a large area of focus. While functionally overarching bosses like Hexarr behave similarly to that of regular bosses, they act essentially as a "main antagonist" for the Tier, helping drive the main narrative forward. In Lucid there are three, with the third boss also functioning as the overarching boss of the entire game. Hexarr himself is more or less restricted to Tier 1, although he makes brief appearances in early Tier 2 and late Tier 3, as well as being mentioned occasionally. Despite being made of a tar like substance, he actually is just as intelligent as any human and possesses the ability to speak. The tar that makes up his body is corrosive, dissolving organic and inorganic materials that are then drawn up into himself and consumed. Because his body is amorphous, he has weak transformation abilities and can even copy the abilities of other entities. He can also break himself apart at will and retains full control over these chunks. While he does have wings, they are extremely small and frail and flight is restricted more to just jumping really high. Despite not having eyes, he apparently has full range of vision. Hexarr is extremely hostile towards the player, but like all bosses he can be befriended if the player puts enough effort into it.
You can see a full sized image of Hexarr here: [Lucid] Hexarr [Tier 1 Overarching Boss]
You can also see some old art of him from when I was younger here, if interested: sta.sh/22ebwfji9f0l

7: [Pterraforming] A fern hawkmoth caterpillar, the larva of a small hawkmoth native across temperate parts of North American Pterearth. As the name suggests, fern hawkmoths are adapted to feeding exclusively on species of ferns, the caterpillars marked with green patterns that resemble fronds and help them blend in to their food source. A curly appendage is present on the rear of the caterpillar, which is analogous to the "horn" seen on their more familiar cousins, the tomato hornworm. The exact function of the prong is unknown, although it certainly doesn't "sting" like many people mistakenly believe. Instead it may act as a visual deterrent to predators, or perhaps might help defend the caterpillar when flailed around, especially against parasitic wasps, which readily attack the fern hornworm. As adults, the moths possess beautiful green and pink colors, and can be very hard to spot amongst a green backdrop. Like many hawkmoths they are nocturnal, feeding by hovering over flowers and dew and sticking a long proboskus down into them. They are also strongly attracted to lights, so they are often found by and around streetlamps and porchlights. Because they feed on ferns, they aren't a nuisance species like their nightshade eating cousins; although it should be noted that Homopteranus unlikelus don't consider hornworms pests like humans do, but instead as a delicious, protein rich treat.

8: [Fan Art]  Yujin0623's Lung character Yong-shik, from his World of E.M. project. Young-shik is a fully matured member of the azure lung (also called yongs and ryus) species, having received a special "magical" gem called a Yeouiju, which is actually a hyper-advanced piece of tech that both allows the Lung species to fully mature and grants them various abilities such as levitation, transformation, biological immortality, and so on. Yong-shik himself is relatively young compared to other members of his species, being over 100 years old (which sounds like a lot, but when you can potentially live indefinitely is not very long at all). Yong-shik acts as a parental figure to his two younger siblings, Yong-ja and Mugi, having brought them to the surface of their world to experience life beyond the kingdom their species holds. When interacting with them, he usually take the form shown here, a ten meter long oriental dragon, although he has other forms in which he can change into.
You can read more about Yong shik, his siblings, and his species here: Yong-shik, Yong-ja, and Mugi

9: [Fakedex] A remake of my fakemon Eagend, a dual Light/Flying type final-staged psudo-legendary found in the Naraht Region. Eagend is one of the three -yes three- psudo-legendaries of the Naraht region, acting as the Light-typed counterpart of the Shadow/Grass typed Alacoon . Eagend are massive eagle Pokemon that spend their entire lives high in the skies of mountainous and cold regions, often bathing themselves in the light of auroras for energy. They can emit some of this energy if needed, and often flickers of this light can be seen floating around them. While their previous two stages are mortal, and behave like any other bird of prey (albeit with a greater degree of intelligence), once they evolve into Eagend, they are said to live forever, and no longer need to consume food or drink to survive. In the past, Eagends had acted as guides for humans, helping them during long journeys or helping to guide lost travelers home. However, as technology advanced, so to did the destruction of Eagend's habitat, and so they were driven farther and farther north as a result. Now, Eagends rarely encounter humans, and when they do, the meeting is rarely peaceful, as Eagends are often sought either for their parts or for their power. Most people can't stand up to a full power Eagend, however, so such poaching is rarely successful, making them even more valuable as a result.
You can see the last iteration of Eagend here: Eagend v2 [Being remade]

10: [Lucid] Sponge leech, an unusual monster that occasionally spawns near the end of a dream, when the player's stress/fear is high and lucidity is low, or in bogs/marshes of Tier 1, always appearing on the player's skin. Sponge leeches are purple blue pyramidal creatures composed of a spongy, flesh like substance, with five tacky/slimy sides and a mouth on each side possessing teeth and a leech-like tongue. They are mostly stationary, only moving by latching onto other, mobile objects with their sticky surfaces and small teeth that sprout from the edges of their contacting surfaces. When looked at, they behave more like Fear Objects, raising the players stress and fear levels and making the player more likely to wake. They can emit horrible squelching noises, and when they do they twist and squirm their bodies. Sponge leeches, as one might guess, are parasites, able to use their five leech tongues to bite and drain blood from hosts.

11: [Terraria] Giant maggot, a mob that is meant to spawn in when a Blowfly (below) is killed. They would behave like a weaker Alien Larva , and like them would transform into full grown Blowflies if left alone long enough.

12: [Terraria] Blowfly, a Hardmode mob that would act like a weaker version of an Alien Hornet  (minus the appearing from wormholes). They are unique in that they spawn in areas where both the Crimson and the Corruption meet. They can also appear in Graveyards in Hardmode. Blowflies hover around the ground and occasionally fire vile spit at players, and when killed spawn 2-3 Giant Maggots when killed, which, if left unattended, can turn into more Blowflies. Neither Blowflies nor Giant Maggots can pass through solid blocks.
