Description
Hahaa I'm so touched and excited that you guys were all for some process/step-by-step work from me :> I thought this picture would be a good one to start with, since it's kinda old, and my next step-by-steps can be more accurate to my current drawing style. This illustration was completed back in Feb of 2017, and since then, I've learned and grown a lot in my drawing process, so what you see here isn't quite what I do now, but I mean, hey--it worked. XD The main difference between this process and what I currently do is how I shade and blend things (but we'll get to that in the next one ;>)Also, excuse the crappy handwriting and my derp lil chibis--they were also done back in Feb.. XD I wanna note too that this is intentionally VERY very basic. So if you learn nothing, I don't blame you LOL.
Next time I do this, it'll be cleaned up hopefully more in-depth, lol.
┐( ´ v ` )┌
But seriously, I'd love you know your guys' thoughts--don't be shy XD One thing I love possibly as much as doing art is talking art :> Lmk how things are going for you and/or if there's anything you may wanna chat about regarding my/your drawing process ~ Other than that, hope you enjoyed, and have fun!

My pleasure~ And yea, I figured most people on here would already know all this :> But I'm glad you still got something out of it
Observation + practice is the best way to learn & grow imo ;D

Yeah, most people here would already know the basics, but in my opinion that's not what makes a great picture or what i want to learn. In my opinion what the artist sees is far more interesting. I mean, everyone sees the same picture, but there are differences in the perception and what details you see. So in my opinion you can learn best, if you try to see, understand and partly adapt other perception. At least that's how i learned to draw

Ye, it was originally made for a basic art club at the time, soo...lol
And I def agree ~ Trying to peel back the layers of what an artist sees/saw is a fantastic way to learn. I've done it myself, so I'm excited someone's now doing that w my work :>

This is really nice! I really enjoyed reading through your process. ^_^
I've always had a hard time doing more 'realistic' things digitally 'cause I'm always compelled to outline -which automatically gives it a cartoony vibe, but maybe I'll try this in the future if I want to go for this similar style.
Thanks for taking all the time to go through and explaining everything~ <3

Thanks I'm so glad it you liked it! :> Yea, outlines do kinda auto-give that cartoon effect. If you ever try something more like this, the "locking layer transparency" will allow you to make those implied lines/solid edges ~
Your current style is still so beautiful tho ;D

Oh, yeah, I do the locking layer transparency bit, but I think it's just the style of my overall art which makes it a bit more difficult to have that kind of middle ground between realism and cartoon-y. But I appreciate your comment! I love what you have - you definitely think outside of the box, which is what I should do more. XD

Gotcha ~
Just gotta push yourself outside of the ol' comfort zone and do a little experimenting then :>
Aha thanks ;//> Once you get that creativity ball rollin, it starts to snowball!
