Description Black and white version of The Lycan pin-up from my upcoming Raw Studios series written by Mike Carey. All inked with my trusty Pentel Brushpen. See my gallery for the colour version, finished by Grant Goleash. The publisher, Tom Jane (Raw Studios) want the book in the Clemente Coll/Wrightson/Booth tradition. There's a little Karl the Viking era Don Lawrence here too, but otherwise it's all me.

Classic Liam. Looks like a panel from the old 'Eerie' or 'Creepy' titles I loved as a kid.

fantastic - reminds me a little of those brilliant old alfredo alcala-inked buscema strips from savage sword of conan

i've got a pentel brushpen too - as far as i can find, there's only one brush width - have you found this to be the case, too?

LiamRSharp In reply to MightyJonE [2013-04-01 19:03:05 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, but that width runs the whole gamut, so you don't need any other widths... Amazing tool!

Thanks man!

Incredible piece Liam. Quite a pulp mag feel to it, or 19th Century illustrative style with a modern edge.

This is cool. I feel like the Werewolf needs more chest though. His anatomy feels a little skewed in that area.

Oh really? A pental Brush pen? 8D When I do my Manga works I usually use a Copic multiliner SP 0.7 and 0.05. Does pental work better?

Having not tried the other tool you mention I can't say it's better, but I've been using the Pentel GFKP for 20 years and I love it. My fav. Tool. Ever.
