I like the movies, they don't represent the original TV stories in a particularly awesome way but as stand alone films they are very good... the new film sounds like it might go down a similar route.
Very good renders and great upgrades, these could be the movie daleks of the twenty-first century.

The movies were great, at least when I was watching them as a kid. My earliest Doctor Who memory is watching the Dalek Invasion of Earth: 2150AD.

Dalek wise? Iconic, though the receptor dishes were a bit on the silly side. Story-wise - very much early Who. Lots of tooing and froing, but not a bad depiction of an alien world and a post-apocalyptic England, respectively. Though it remains a mystery why the Daleks wanted to fit that engine into the planet and why they chose Bedfordshire to drill their hole (on the other hand, a big explosion is a more scientifically sound method of dealing with them than that gubbins about the magnetic field).
