Deterrence. Is it means stopping something from something? Cause my english isin't very great, and I don't have a dictioanary somewhere near at the moment..
It looks like.. Rails on the bridge. Yeah, I can clearly see it. And a frozen river at other side of them. And they hold you from.. Embracing winter waters.. probably..

Your English is perfectly fine, you do very well at expressing with this language. Yes, to deter(deterrence)means to stop or prevent from happening. Everything you mentioned is in this painting, you have a very good eye for my work, thank you for the comment.

you know, I'm a not very good student at school, and almost all of my english knowledge comes just from reading songs lyrics

Then I say that lyrics are a great way of learning English, because you express yourself much better in this language than most people I know! I was a terrible student, I didn't start studying things until I had left school.

I left school early, I wanted to start learning what I wanted to learn, which was not what was being taught.

I am thinking about that now too.. I got so tired of school.. All that school system in our country is so rotten.. so old. Just like in pink floyds movie xD

I used to watch that movie so much, and listen to The Wall on the way to school every day...but that was when it was in the charts.

I liked the wall so much too, but never was in love with it so much as I was with animals. Especially dogs. And you can imagine how amazed I was when I heard porcupine trees "time" xD

It makes me think of Australia's current policy regarding asylum seekers - which is all about deterrence. But in the long term, the fence will just rust away...

it seems to be a fence but it's looks like it would be very easy to ignore it....not sure if it's a good or bad thing, maybe it would depend on what is to be protected (?) or held back / kept / locked up....either way it doesn't seem to work like it should...the consequences are different though...building a better, stronger fence or pull it down completely.....

yep...what I wanted with this was the feeling of something that -is- but really -isn't- at the same time.
thank you.

wonderfull work... reminds me of obstacles we face in life when they get bigger than the mountain and we are ready to give up...

thank you...exactly, but I think a lot of the time the obstacles are self-inflicted and with a bit of a gentle push they would fall away...
and thanks a lot for the fav !

start digging then...hard, with your fingernails if you have to...nothing worse than no exit...sometimes you have to make an exit by kicking the hell out of the wall until theres a hole in it big enough to crawl through...

if i dig myself out i will hurt other people i care about so its better for me to suffer than them...

do you -know- you will hurt them...also, sometimes the hurt has to travel to reach the place where it isn't hurt anymore...

there is certain price i am not willing to pay so its better me hurting... some prices of ending pain just inflict more pain...

An old black metalwork fence, found in front of many city gardens used more as a marking or even as an ornament, but they wouldn't really keep anyone in or out.

That's it Gloria...it's not an effective barrier, just the illusion of protection...thanks for another great comment!

i get a real wintery vibe from this,

really nice,
yet so simple

i really hope it snows this years, i really like snow but we never seem to get it until christmas is over,
which is a shame
i like throwing snowballs for the dogs to chase in a big snow covered field, it keeps them occupied for ages
