Description
This is the original render in HDRi of 'Flooded' -> [link] which I discovered recently on an old HD; just scaled down and changed to jpeg-format in PS.No other postwork here!
Hope you like it

Depends how one count The base-rendertime for the original Flooded-piece was 9hrs 56mins 44secs; cause the SO-pack did his job in the same time, one could say this piece was done in zero-time, cause if I haven't took the HDR-option, the rendertime for the Flooded-piece hasn't be just one second shorter - from another POV one could say, rendertime was 9hrs 56mins 44secs

wow ,holly shiet .
i was gonna to start with terragen but when i saw the time....trust me i have to give time to terragen now because i like when rendering, searching in the net and working on PS or something else.
My computer specs are : 4GB of ram
amd dual core M300 2.0GHZ
Ati hd radeon 4500/5100 with 512 mb
Windows 7 X64
What do you think??

I think that's no problem; since TG only use one core, you should be able to do whatever you like on the other core; graphic-card doesn't matter in this case - it's just a question of CPU-power and RAM. The rendertimes in TG depends on the size of the pic you're rendering, the amount of water in (water in any form mist and such is water too) and the size of terrain. That's the reason this pic took that long - the same size without open water I render in about one hour, with 3D-clouds appr. double time.
I'd recommend to render always at least the double size you plan to submit your pic in the end, then scale down and resharpen - it will give much more convincing results...
To be clear I talk here about TG 0.9

yay.thx for the informations hhhh my problem is that i dont love to wait but i think i have to be patien in this case. i dont know if use VUE 8 but its so great i try it and it have a lot of trees....ect better and bigger than terragen
by the way i use terragen 2 full version. thnx again

TG2 is good if you went for realism; if you like to do otherworldly scenes TG 0.9 is the better choice.
With Vue I have just little experience - but here also, for otherworldly settings I prefer TG 0.9

Beautifully rendered. Looking at it gives me a sense of loneliness in a vast open space. It's like being transported to another dimensional planet. Awesome! Thanks for sharing your work.
