Description
The Ophanim were beings from the realm of Heaven, and are used the same way horses are used as chariot-bearers in the human realm. Ophanim stand below the pedestals of greater archangels and the Deus Magnus. Ophanim are shaped like crossed interlocking wheels, lined with eyes and four wings all around, and burn with the power and souls of Cherubium. The Axe itself is not wielded by the Ophanim, since their purpose is to lift up and support the throne of the Deus Magnus. However, the axe is infused with the power of Skysight, that is, to see anything the wielder wishes from the perspective of a distant object orbiting above the earth. It also serves another purpose, which is to ensure that if a wielder, be they Human or Lesser Angel Acolyte, should rebel against God while wielding the Axe, the Ophanim which the Axe's Skysight is drawn from, can see it and brings awareness of it to the Seraphs that constantly patrol the throne of the Deus Magnus. This was done as a safeguard so that another Great Heavenly War does not happen again; The start of the Great Heavenly War came to be because the Angel Lucifiel, the instigator and the most well-known fallen angel, was unseen in his recruiting of a third of the Deus Magnus' angels in his rebellion.
This axe is not the only weapon with the power of Skysight; other heavenly weapons too have been made with the powers of the Ophanim. Spears, swords, and staffs exist bearing the Eye of the Ophanim, all crafted after the Great Heavenly War. Should an Ophanim be slain, all weapons which it lent its power to will lose the ability of Skysight. This is unlikely, since Ophanim rarely ever go into actual battle against demons (it is the Imperiarim angels that combat spirits of Darkness, not Ophanim).
Aside from Skysight, the gold on the Axe glows softly in the dark, always giving its wielder the safety of light. The black crystal in the center is actually a mirror into the stars, the view of the Ophanim from which that particular weapon's power was pulled from. Peering into it is how one sees down on the earth.
Yes, I am rewriting the Bible to be a Dark Souls/New Albion-esque high fantasy. Bite me.

You know if Thor looses Stormbreaker like he lost mjolnir, I think he’ll be wanting this axe.
