Description
Legend says, in the rolling fields of the island of Menagerie, there lives a breed of Avian Grimm that has a longer neck than it has wings. This species of Grimm used to infest the fields so much and lay such aimless violence at people who wished to establish farming communities, that the kingdom of Mistral declared war on them, and sent a team of four Huntsmen to exterminate them. The four believed that the Grimm would be easy pickings due to their flightlessness, but they gravely miscalculated. The Grimm, it turns out, could run like the devil himself, and none of the heavy artillery they brought was fast enough to catch them. And, facing them in the meelee was pure suicide by trampling; these Grimm could travel in flocks of hundreds. Finally, and begrudgingly, after weeks of failed attempts, the four Huntsmen returned to Mistral in shame, to be forever consigned as the men who lost a war against flightless birds.
These questionably-fearless Grimm (some believe that they didn't actually consider the four Huntsmen as any threat) were named "Gunrunners" after their ability to run faster than heavy gunnery can turn to follow them.
