Description
The ending of RWBY Volume 4 had a Scottish cryptid, so I made the LUNA Volume 4 finale have a Chinese mythical tiger + Greek monster. And it's fucking massive.
Before you ask, no, this is not an MLP reference.

I really don't think Menagerie would even still be standing if a grimm like that existed in canon

I rescind my previous thought.

Thanks.Β Though to me, at least at first, "Mosas" felt just a little cheesy.Β I still love the idea of it though.Β And honestly, I think there should be a whole lot more prehistoric inspired grimm.Β Not just the mythical based ones.Β Although, those ones are still amazing to behold.Β What about you?Β Β

My thoughts are sort of mixed, Remnant never had a mesozoic era so I'm not entirely sure if there should be dinosaur grimm, though then again Remnant doesn't have ghosts, gryphons, or wyverns either so I guess it'd be okay. Honestly if there ever is a dinosaur grimm I'd like it to be a tyrannosaurus but a feathered one, like what recent research suggests, I think it'd be really cool especially if has the same noise as the one this video suggests the Tyrannosaurus hasΒ www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpipaUβ¦
I have heard a lot of people say that the creeps are dinosaur based but this is simply untrue, according the the director's commentary the whole point of them was to just show that some grimm don't have an animal equivalent, hence the name "Creeps"

Now that makes sense.Β All of this.Β I would like to see a realistic dinosaur-grimm in canon, though I doubt it will ever happen.Β I got a few other prehistoric grimm on my rwby page of my gallery.Β What are your thoughts on THOSE?Β Β

i have a few ideas for prehistoric grimm.Β
Creatures of GrimmThese are the Creatures of Grimm I have created and where they're first debuts are in my story:
1. Chaos Rex: Basically a T-rex grimm; Alpha Class, able to control other Grimmm through its roar. Inspiration was Rash from Dino Hunter: Deadly shores and the Bewilderbeest from HTTYD2. First debut: RWBY: Creature Shifter, Chapter 5: THE KING IS HERE!
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11179086/5/RWBY-Creature-Shifter
2. Nandi: A bipedal hyena version of a Beowolf with black panther style spots and a shorter snout than a Beowolf. Inspiration derives from the Nandi Bear. First debut: RWBY: Creature Shifter, Chapter 19: Attack!
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11179086/19/RWBY-Creature-Shifter
3. Draculas: A Vampire Grimm that is the only one that i've created that's capable of speech. Inspiration is Dracula and the kaiju Draculas. Only appearance: RWBY: Creature Shifter, Chapter 20: Blood Beast.
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11179086/20/RWBY-Creature-Shifter
4. ThunderStalker: A variant of the Deathsta

The gorgon is really cool but I can't help but feel like it's the type of grimm that would have some external ribs like a beringel or an alpha beowolf, I think you did a great job on it's mouth, it's something I can wanna see team RWBY actually fight in one form of RWBY media or another. The Bashback is something I'd love to see Doctor Merlot genetically modify, I love all the armor plates on its back. The leviathan would be cool especially since we've yet to see that much aquatic grimm in the actual show, I love that it's one of those grimm that have bone-plates on both jaws like griffons. I really love the spikes and the armor patterns on the thrasher. I really like how for the red-sail you said how many individuals are usually in a group, after a lot of rewatching I noticed that beowolves too usually hunt in groups of around 30. I like the bone-plate you chose for the thief, its a minor but still awesome creative liberty.

Thanks for the praise.Β But truth be told, I just wanted to expand on the grimm from the show.Β Also, I really feel like we need more prehistory inspired grimm in canon.Β Also, to me at least, my Gorgon grimm feels like a missed opportunity by RoosterTeeth.Β I mean the name, the design ideas... come on now.Β And I swear, if RoosterTeeth came to me and asked if they could use and expand on my grimm ideas here, I would take the offer in a heartbeat.Β Cross my heart.Β Β

I've actually been working on a very similar task, I've been trying to expand the mutant grimm from Grimm Eclipse, as well as other Merlot Industries aspects. It's a really cool and scary concept that there's beowolves, stronger than alpha beowolves or even potentially ursai stronger than ursa majors and they've been created by the very thing they're the bane of: man.Β
