Atoya thought for sure her options were gone. She was stuck between two monsters - one of which had killed Nikolai. Her death was imminent unless she could outrun them or convince the black wild to let her on his back but even then what was she to do about Truly?She gulped, color draining from her face as the spotted monster came closer. There was an abrupt change in the volume of his snarl, a jerk of his head as he turned to something she couldn't see.
A light blue Tokota seemed to come flying from within the snowstorm, leaping right at the beast's throat despite the vast different in their size. The sudden appearance of a new Tokota sent the black wild running off. Atoya didn't have to think twice, she gave Truly a slap on the back startling the toki to her feet then pushed herself up to her feet to join them in running.
But they still had just one more problem.
