This is a tutorial to draw and color with photoshop as a lot of people have asked me ^^So I hope it will be helpful, and I hope you'll understand my english

Very good tutorial! But I would suggest the pen over the poly lasso at any time, it's better all the way around because you can make both curves and paths that photoshop can remember ^_^

I just read your tutorial, and as a new user to photoshop and CG colour in general, it's amazing! It's really helpful!
I'm having a few probs with layers (unlocking them in particular) but I'll figure them out eventually, and then I may be better equipped to colour!

You might already know this, but if you press ctrl+H it will hide the dotted line that shows the selection, which is very handy if the dotted lines are distracting or getting in the way

Oh! But I forgot to ask. How long did the cel shading process take?

it depends on the details, how many shadow you want to add, etc... For my tutorial pic it tooks me about 4-5 hours I think.

Wow! I use PSP8, but I do hope to evantually get Adobe someday. I'll remember to look back on this when I do evantually get it. ^^ But even without it, thise can still give me a hand in PSP8. *Happy content now.*

But can you use the magic wand tool? Because it hard to do the lasso tool for me

yes you can, but if you do that, you will have to expand your selection (selection/modify/expand and put from 1 to 4 px). And then retouch your selection with the lasso (or polygonal lasso, it's easier), because if you don't do that a few pixel will be blank in the final pic, and it's not very beautiful
