Scalemates are from Homestuck, a web-comic written by Andrew Hussie and belong to him. This pattern was created by me and is for personal use only.

hmmm, hard to tell from a pic. possibly the fabric you used.. is it fleece or some other type of fabric? fleece has a nice softness and stretch to it. also, a tad more stuffing might have puffed it out more. it looks great though, love the color!!!

just as a tip when before stuffing the head while turning it inside out use a pin to pull out the seam at the tips of the horns for more of a tip

Have you considered maybe doing a youtube tutorial? This is pretty much easy to follow, the last stitch just confuses me.
Can I have a name so I can look up how to do it on youtube?

THIS IS THE BEST THING IVE EVER SEEN. my sister wants me to make her a karkat one. im gonna do it! also, do youREALLY need 1/4 yard of fleece to make one of these??
π: 0 β©: 1
lishlitz In reply to NERDPEOPLE [2012-05-21 04:29:05 +0000 UTC]
yes. a 1/4 yard of fabric will give you a piece that is 9 inches wide and, i believe, 5 ft long. you'll have a small amount left over, but 1/8 yard is not enough. 1/4 yard should only run you a few dollars

Thank you for uploading this! I plan on making a Lemonsnout plush to go with my Terezi cosplay, and also I plan on using your smuppet tutorial to make one for my Bro and Dave cosplays that I'm putting together! This has helped a lot, and I will most definitely show you the outcome to both these plushes!

ive tried and tried and i have no idea how to put those eyes on the head >.<
how'd you do it?? : X
π: 0 β©: 1
lishlitz In reply to blutigAshe [2012-05-05 19:19:22 +0000 UTC]
you're gonna have to squish on his head.. push hard on different edges of the button to expose the underneth side of it each time you need to put the needle up through it. i know it's kind of frustrating, but with a little wrestling with it, it is possible..
..if you just absolutely can't do it, another alternative would be to buy a long needle (doll needle) to go back and forth through the whole head - from button to button, and sew them on at the same time.. or possibly even hot glue them on, but it won't be as durable.
do you have someone that can maybe help you?
