Ann shifted in the box as she glanced up at Paddy who stood over her with the two sharp blades. He was eager to show her his special trick.
"Are you sure you know what you're doing?" she asked.
"Of course I do," Paddy replied. "I've done this plenty of times before."
Paddy quickly set to work. He inserted the blades through the slots available in the box, cutting through Ann's midriff in the process. Incredibly Ann hardly flinched. paddy looked down at her and smiled.
"Ready, Ann?"
"Ready."
Paddy separated the box into it's two halves, wheeling the bottom part around so Ann could see her feet. She watched as her toes wriggled.
"Good trick, Paddy," she said. "Now, can you put me back together again?"
Paddy smiled once more.
"About that, Ann..."
Paddy opened the bottom box and helped her waist and legs get out.
"You don't suppose I could borrow them for a little bit, do you?"
Ann sighed. She should have known Paddy would do this to her. But she couldn't be mad with him. Ann nodded.
"Just for a short while, OK?"
Paddy held up a hand.
"I promise, Ann. I'll have them back to you real soon."
Ann watched as Paddy lead her bottom half away and settled in to wait. She trusted him, and knew he would take good care of her body. She just hoped they wouldn't have too much fun without her...
