Description Standing at 9.3 meters tall, the 30 ton Clan OmniMech Kit Fox is better known as the Uller to the InnerSphere forces.

From TRO : 3050
The Uller, named for the Norse god of archery, is an exceptionally versatile light 'Mech.  In its main configuration, the Uller carries a mix of weapons that gives it striking power at all ranges while avoiding the problems associated with reliance on a single weapons system.  Reasonably fast and well armored for its size, this design can hold its own against many of the Inner Sphere's medium 'Mechs.

In its primary configuration, the Uller combines four of the Clans' most advanced weapons.  Its main firepower comes from the LB 5-X autocannon in its
right arm and the extended-range large laser in its left.  A small pulse laser and Streak SRM 4 add to the Uller's punch at close range.  This design keeps
heat buildup in check, economizes on missile loads to avoid running out of ammunition, and provides sting at varying ranges.

This is one of those builds that's taken me a while to put together. Like my Timber Wolf, I'd completed the torso and arms months ago but blanked out on how to construct the lower section and legs. I knew that I wanted to give this 'mech torso twist but the reference images had showed the legs locked to the sides just below the arms. When I finally figured out a lower hip section, the rest of the model came together in less than two days. Once again I went with the Prime configuration rather than a Mk I build or an alternate configuration. Like my other OmniMechs, I used weapons I designed for all of my Omnimechs. In this case the model is armed with an ER Large Laser, Medium Pulse Laser, AC-10, and Streak SRM 4 (originally built for my Viper).

These little things give me so much trouble in MWO.

You know a light pilot is doing his job when the enemy is cussing.

That's pretty much the job of a light 'mech pilot. LOL

Nice work, and one of my favorite designs.

Thanks! It is an interesting design, though I think most of the 3050 Omnimechs are the peak of visual design for BattleTech universe. I think the first time I played the Kit Fox was in MW2, but I had the most fun with it in MW3.

I'm planning on doing the Puma/Adder next. With the Uller done, I now have the arms and legs for the prime variant. All I'd need to do is mirror one of the arms, swap out the hand and lasers for an ERPPC and then build the torso and cockpit.

Agreed for the visual design department, though the Loki... well it wasn't my favorite, but I think the 3055 TR was alright, but I think BattleTech has gotten too fast, too soon despite the universe they set (I'm sure now they're into the 3200s).  But like any game you can play in whatever year but yeah, I liked 3050 and that was about it.  The Timber Wolf was still the best design both practically and visually, while the Kit Fox was good.  Though when I played MW2 it was normally the Timber Wolf and the Mad Dog, but had some fun with the Masakari in the Ghost Bear offshoot.  Maybe I'll get back into Mechwarrior but I'm more into flight sims and shooters these days.

Oh definitely! Hurt them at range for 20 damage with the AC10 and ERL Laser, then tear them apart with streak SRMs and the medium pulse laser when they get close. Keep pumping that AC10 between cool-down between the ERLL and the SSRM/MPL combo.

Gotta keep moving though. No jumpjets and thin armor makes it a bit vulnerable.

* evil grin*
Add the fact that you're low to the ground means that you can hide in places
most other mechs can't go.... One weapons layout I had when I used the Uller
was primarily the Med. Pulse Laser/AC 10 combo, but if I wanted a sniper variant, I'd
swap the AC 10 for the Extended Range Large Laser, and use 3 MPLs... just load up
on 2 extra heat sinks.Either case, I'd always kept the SSRM's....just in case.

One mech I would LOVE to see you do is the Marauder IIc....that, and either the Turkina, or the King Crab

BTW - I'm still playing Mecharrior 3... my favorite pc game.

At least now I have half of the Puma/Adder Omni. And then if I build that, I'll have most of the parts for the Cougar!
