Description
This is Duke, Baron Zero second in command and his greatest achievement in his attempts to create his perfect soldier for his superhuman army ( more context here www.deviantart.com/logbot03/ar… ).Duke in fact, unlike his brothers and sisters was made with artificial DNA and since he was the first artificial child that the Baron has created, he miscalculated the amount of DNA necessary to create one clone, and thus he’s his only officer that did not receive a platoon of his own clones to command. Duke usually works alone or with a small group of clones derived from various DNAs. Being the first clone that Zero has created, he has a major defect: he only has one eye. Since Zero had made his officers believe that their the original and not clones as well, he had to cover up his missing eye with a patch. Zero had led his officers to believe that he rescued them when they had been abandoned by all, increasing their hatred towards humanity and their affection towards him. Duke and the other officers were trained by the Baron himself, this intense training has brought the events that gave Duke his scars. His powers are also artificial made by intense DNA modifications: his senses and reflexes were increased and he can produce a huge amount of kinetic energy that he can redirect through every part of his body. He doesn’t use it very often however, believing it to be too destructive. Duke is generally assigned either assassinations or huge assault missions to conquer parts of the world. Builder is the first operative to encounter Duke, during the recruitment journey to S.O.B.E.C headquarter. She took shelter in the back of a comic book store, and when Duke showed up the owner refused to reveal Builder’s location, hearing the following commotion and the sound of crashed bones, Builder fled as fast as she could, other recruits weren’t so lucky. If he really need information out of someone he will eventually resort to psychological and later physical torture. The training left him scarred to the point that he doesn’t feel any sort of empathy towards others, making the encounters with him even more uncomfortable due to his unnatural way of speech and forced emotions. He will later discovered the truth about himself short after Spark’s betrayal of the Baron, the shock will make all the repressed memories from his training come back to him, finally showing him what kind of monster his “father” really is. It will take some time for him to join S.O.B.E.C spending the second arc of his story on the run before coming once again face to face with those who were once his enemies
