Description
It’s been a while since I created an original villain for my Spider-Man project, like Mr.melt, Swallow, Moisture or Reikai, so I decided to introduce Charlotte Monroe AKA Star fright. The design immediately came to my mind and I wanted to put it down immediately. Mirror master was also a big inspiration for this character and the colorful outfits was also largely inspired by Flash’s rouges.

Bio

When Mayday was patrolling the city, she spotted a group of thugs robbing a shop. This event was weird due to the fact that these guys had the courage to strike in the middle of the day, and they used pretty high tech weaponry. Before she could attack however, a mysterious figure dressed in some sort of spacesuit arrived on the shine and incapacitated the criminals with a beam of sparkles that exploded against it’s targets without dealing any major injuries, the mysterious hero could also emit powerful beams of light that blinded the criminals. After this performance, the figure presented itself to the public as “Star Fright”, and started distributing autographs to the public. The bugle immediately thought the hero was a fraud, but Mayday had her own suspicions as well after meeting the self-absorbed hero before he/she fled using her solar powered jet pack. Mayday encountered Star Fright numerous times, before finally learning her identity when she herself revealed it to the woman she loved. Star Fright’s real name was Charlotte Monroe, a timid and awkward researcher for NASA, that became Star Fright to impress Tandy Bowen, the retired heroine Dagger, which lived next door to her. Tandy, though was actually organizing her wedding with her former crime fighting partner Tyrone Johnson AKA Cloak. This infuriated Charlotte who pretended that her love was corresponded just because she saved her from a group of thugs in one of the previous times Star Fright showed up. Before Charlotte could attack the former hero, Spider-Girl intervened and a fight broke out. During the confrontation, it was revealed that Charlotte herself had sold and made the weaponry that the goons she defeated used, just to make the fight more impressive. Tandy later changed in her Dagger identity and helped Mayday take down Charlotte.
Star Fright will come back time and time again to take revenge on the wall crawler, for sending her to jail.
Yes her character was greatly inspired by Hal from Megamind, mixed with Mysterio’s origin story.
