Continuing the story for my idea of a possible Elden Ring DLC, previous post here ( www.deviantart.com/logbot03/ar… )

The Lands between are surrounded by a vast ocean and a deep fog, and hidden by the waves, is the Forever Lost Archipelago. On the main map this would be the area where there once was the round table, or at least its projection.

The islands would be very small regions compared to the areas of the main game, but still large enough to be pact with secrets.

The First Island is the island of Nargog where many travelers who tried to reach the lands between got stranded and built a society on this once peaceful island, but when the new great runes emerged, this island has been covered in breach and scourged by a tremendous plague that has turned most of its inhabitants into rabid half-dragon hybrids.
This is where our new Tarnished starts their adventures and meet Jar-Bairn, Patches, Roderika and Conn.
The main boss of the area is Gustáve, whom I previously introduced, but hidden in a cave there’s an Evergaol, where the player will find the Stranded Captain.

After leaving the island on a raggedy boat with other characters both familiar and unfamiliar the player will reach the second island: Godhunter’s Grove

The island is a deep forest with a giant Vulcano which smolders the black flame which once had a power to slay the gods and with it there’s the Gloom eyed queen, who commands the Godskin cult.
As the original rune of death has over time being consumed of its power by Maliketh, the Greater Will created a new one from the depths of the Black Flame Vulcano, unfortunately it needs the entire ring to be activated and thus, the Tarnish and the others must get rid of the fallen Empirean if they want to complete their mission.

After defeating the Gloom eyed Queen, a new path has open across the fog, leading to the third island, the Island of Mortis

The island is home to another Empirean who once dared to obtain the Elden Ring in secret by adding a new rune, unfortunately Marika found out, and he was forced to escape to a place where Marika’s black blade couldn’t reach.
This Empirean was Rosus, Usher of Death, you may remember him from the weird statues that can lead you to catacombs, a character only briefly mentioned in an item description of an axe.

The Rune that Rosus created was the rune of Godhood, which grants the right to Godhood to whoever wields the Elden Ring, so that even a frail Empirean like Rosus could wield its power. Rosus however still maintained a strong presence in the Lands Between, using his knowledge of the arcane to create minions that he has spread around the Marika’s domain, these minions are the Revenant and the Fingercreepers, those ten fingered severed hands that crawl around the Lands Between, which where cut from the beast that previously inhabited the island of Mortis, which still resides deep below. Rosus is also the one responsible for the creation of the Grafting, as seen by the Royal Revenants distorted bodies. ( or at least this is my interpretation of the lore).

After defeating Rosus the next great rune to get is the great rune of Stars, which the greater will carved in giant Glimstone crystal on the towering Island of Aquarius, where the Astrology was first invented, unfortunately the island wasn’t tall enough and the astrologists later left to the mountain tops of the giants. However some followers of the primordial way of astrology have remained and suffered the consequences of looking too far into the sky.

Guarding the Great Rune of the Cosmos is Galileo, the first Astrologist. However before facing him there is a much bigger and angrier threat to handle.

The Fifth island is significantly smaller that the others and covered in a light blue mist. The island itself however seemed deformed into an impossible way. At the top there’s a small temple where the player can lie, and enter the Dream world.

In the dreamworld the player enters Miquella’s nightmare, where the forever young demigod is tormented by horrible visions of death and blood. In here However the player can also enters Roderika’s nightmare, a secret area where the player witnesses master Hewg final moments with Roderika.
Since Miquella never participated in the Shattering, his Great Rune of Life is still in good enough condition to be used in the new Elden Ring.
In Miquella’s Nightmare the player will fight an Avatar of the Formless Mother, the outer god that convinced Mohg to kidnap Miquella.

The last island is the Grail, an impossible structure that contains a fragment of the crucible, the primordial form of the Erdtree. After defeating the Misbegotten half-dragon, the player will face the last obstacle in their way: The shard of the Crucible. In this moment the player have the choice of claiming the ring for himself or become Conn’s loyal shadow.
