Description Background:

She has no name. She is one of the nameless of the Golmore jungle.

She and her kind roam the forest healing damage and taking care of unwanted intruders and/or problems with their powerful magics.

The nameless belong to no clan, but are often sought out to reside over important ceremonies and also to guide Viera that wish to leave the jungle safely out of the jungle.

Details:
Well, I didn't think I was going to do any more Viera characters, but talked me into doing another one. If anyone wants details about the 3D stuff, just let me know. I am too tired to write anything else right now.

I figured you did, have you ever considered putting it up for sale or sharing it? cause it's really awesome I know that more artist would love to have it for their characters, at least I know I would

Doh! I forgot to mention you will have to do a download to get the full resolution.

Well, this is one of those cases where the pattern is pretty specific to the object, but I threw it in my scraps area if you want to take a look at it. You can adjust the "brightness" of it and use it as a transparency map. Making it gray will cause the material to be semi-transparent like in this scene.

The problem with selling stuff is that I would have to support it. Besides, I think I need to get better yet. I still rely to much on "hacking" things in. (i.e. I can't write my own .cr2 files yet....)

Ok thanks hon, so you add this in the mat room? or do you add it by hand in a program like photoshop?

You can use it as a 2D image map node in the material room. Just keep in mind it is not going to work for a lot of things as there is no way to predict how the UV mapping is going to map the texture to an object......

Wow! Another long-legged hottie... favved. ^_^

How did you model that flowing cloth? I've tried a couple of times and failed miserably... so I'm envious.

A long time back I did a piece called gatekeeper. During the course of that piece I became a master of the cloth room(well really experienced at least).

The real trick is to do one cloth simulation at a time. When it completes, you assign a morph target to the object, delete the simulation, and move onto the next piece. You have to be careful in the order you do the simulations as you might want cloth to collide with other pieces of cloth. You also have to be careful as to what is parented to what.... how you setup your constrained vertices... etc.. etc... oh well, I could write another tutorial in this area....

The cloth I use for a lot of stuff is nothing more than a simple square plane divided into 75x75 quads.
