Description Since I just packed everything in one image, the file size is big. Sorry about that.
Hopefully it's not too confusing. I'm trying my best to explain how I ink.

I'm no expert or anything so please bear with me, with this question! I'm just wondering why you erase your pencil lines after you've inked it?

Hum, how would you know where to ink if you erase the pencil lines before you ink it?
Of course, unless you have a lightbox.

hahahaha XD
well, if you dont erase the lines, the image will look really messy, make it hard for the re-inking part. And it'll be hard to clean up in computer.

yay I'll have to try doing it that way. I'm terrible at inking <_<; That's why I normally only color other people's work  Good job :fav+:

Thank you so much... i have really pathetic inking skills... i throught it was just "go around the lines with a pen" sort of thing... thank you so much... I'd say you're a god but i'm agnostic...

*bites Look* XD

j/k. That was really helpful. You have no idea how long I have searched for inking tutorials, it seems like most artists like to keep it a secret or something. Now I have some kind of idea, I can practice more. '-'

^^ I find that too. When I started to ink, all the tutorials I came across are rather simple. Pretty much: sketch > ink > clean up > done. Only one I found somewhat useful was telling me to use bolder lines in place opposite to light and foreground objects. Which I didn't really understand how to apply that until much later.
I find tutorials with image as samples are a lot more easier to understand.

Yay! Outlining I think is one of my weaknesses, so I'm so glad you did this...thank you very much so. ^^ Also, the link you supplied in your artist's comment doesn't work.

I'm was about to ask about your inking. I always wonder who still inks with a traditional medium, or if they're totally digital. Nice to see you're one of the many who're still using traditional mediums.

'cuz it's easier to ink with the pen than on computer. It'd take twice as long for me to ink a piece like this. T_T
I just use whichever that's more convinient

I suppose for pin-ups inking by hand is more functional, then inking sequentials by hand. Something I'll have to learn a bit more about, I suppose.

hmm, probably. Never done anything sequential before.
