Thanks! Her outfit is often drawn as a flat black in the comic, but I wanted to add a little more detail to her outfit for the cover, particularly as its already fairly sparce.

Thanks ma'am. I enjoy the challenges of painting folds and cloth - always time consuming and tricky - if you get it right, not many people notice, but if I get it wrong it bugs the hell out of me.... so thanks for noticing The sword in the comic was of a much plainer variety, but I really loved the patterns in one I saw so I decided to go all out on it in painting the cover.

Thanks! Funny thing is it took me longer to paint it than her face. Half way through I kind of wish I'd picked a simpler style (more like in the actual comic), but I'm glad I persisted with complicated one.

I really like this one. It's simplistic, but in an very creative way.

The colors are really nice as well. I really dig how the blue background is slightly shading Modesty's clothes, it looks sweet.

This is an great start of your Modesty laise covers this year. I'am very excited on seeing how the next ones will look.
