Second and final entry for Papermachei 's contest!

Hope I was in time, I have been super busy and I couldn't even scan the drawings! >.<

So I will get to scan these for monday, maybe, but for the weekend, this is what we get. XD

So, let's talk about these two megas I designed for Olfastache and Syndroam.

As you can see, I played a little with the designs, hope it's okay.

The stats can give the general idea I had in mind, but what were my thoughts for the concepts?

Alright, let's start with Olfastache, shall we?

Olfastache is said to be the Immune Pokémon, after being the Sick Pokémon during his previous stage. The concept revolves around the idea that Olfastache is a kid who grew immune to its desease, and now is able to fight it (hence the typing: Poison/Fighting).

So I thought: what the next step in this concept might be? What if Olfastache while achieving Mega Evolution could become the Vaccine Pokémon?

We all know that vaccines consist in putting a little part of germs inside your body in order for it to create white blood cells capable to fight and make you immune to that particular germ/desease. So, in this form Mega Olfastache has integrated some of Syndroam's toxine and I wanted to show this aspect into the design, giving it these light blue spots on its body, hinting at Syndroam's colors. Olfastache is now mainly white in color, like a white blood cell. Also, white might inspire people to think it as a medic Pokémon of some sort; I imagine Olfastache's hands as potential defibrillators, too. I also played a bit with the nostrils to make people remind of a gas mask of some sort.

Now it's the turn of Mega Syndroam!

This is a very daring design, since it detaches itself from the original Pokémon a lot. But since many existing Pokémon have Megas that are really different from their original forms (example: Heracross), I decided to risk a bit and have fun.

I was looking at blood cells and I though that they had a really nice shape, and so I figured that a virus like Syndroam might adapt itself and get the shape of a blood cell itself, like it was willing to inglobe it and infect it. So I gave it that shape and wide "arms" to make Syndroam able to embrace the cells and spread the virus. The red/orange color was present for a minimum part in the design of the original Syndroam, but I decided to give it more space in this Mega. The red is only on the inside of its arms/wings, while on the back they are blue like the rest. It's almost like a manta ray, so it could move swiftly in fluids and stuff.

They're not on scale, btw. That's all, I think. Sorry for rambling a bit. xD
