I've featured this as Daily Feature on the front page of #deviantART-Related
#deviantART-Related is the unofficial group for the dA related gallery, and our Daily Feature is a private initiative to serve as an alternative to DDs while there's no GM for the gallery
We featured your tutorial for today with the following description;
deviantART dictionary by `lost-angle is a great tutorial explaining a lot of things and terms that I found many deviants are wondering about.
There's also a text version available if you can't see the visual file. This also makes it easier to search for a certain term you're wondering about.

I dont understand why kawaii is a spam word? It is Japanese language for cute! ...... I pity the Japanese that enters DAmn

Not all moderators consider use of "kawaii" and other japanese words to be spam. In the chatroom I moderate, we are strictly English only, that means anyone who speaks so much as one word of another language gets a warning. Continued typing in other languages gets a kick or even a ban. It's considered spam by some because not everyone knows what those words mean. It's a way of ensuring that everyone in the room can follow the whole conversation.

I just want to ask a question...I've seen someone on here who has a '*' in front of their username, but no subscription...what's that supposed to mean?

I realise your comment is nearly a year old, but if you're still wondering... [link]

the * means they are subscribed. the = means that they are subscribed and have clicked the "beta tester" box that makes them a beta tester. a lot of people who are subscribed, don't use their subscription to the full advantage which makes it look like they don't have a subscription.

Also, if they do have a premium membership, and they never login again after it expires, the * never disappears - I think that's what they are talking about were talking about last year. such as *username and *deviant .

its so no one gets upset... many people (and with reason) are still very mad about it, and its a way to avoid the dArama

you seemed like the person to ask this.
what extra fetures do we get with a premium membership?

you get the ability to use CSS on your journals. You can modify your userpage and journal page with extra modules (over the standard ones). Certain modules are given to everyone with subscriptions, but you also get the ability to add "custom" boxes, anything you want. You also get to chose if you want to be a beta tester or not, you don't have to be, but if you are, you get optional access to new things that dA is doing before everyone else does. (like when version six came out and the portfolios that are out now.)
