Maybe a little bit of Arc Blow from the magnetism created by the workpiece being grounded?

A camera's lens probably picks things out that a human eye can't, it's probably normal whether using Short Circuit Metal Transfer or Pulse Spray Metal Transfer (GMAW).

Just wondering, I see some arcs coming off the back. I don't remember seeing this when I weld, but I'm just using a little wire feed. What kind of process were you using?

I've never seen those Arcs before either, I think it is something that the camera picks up. I'm going to take a lot of photos and see what I can comeup with.

It is an old stick welder 90 amps 1/8" 6011 rod.

could be plasma coming off the arc. might be too dim to see through a mask...
