This Greasemonkey Script is Obsolete as of deviantART v6's Release
You can now use deviantART's native Random Love-ish buttons using the following steps:
DescriptionThis script adds two buttons to the Main Toolbar. One which directs you to a Random Deviant and the other to a Random Deviation (using the inbuilt dA Random Link as shown at FAQ #535: Can I search for a random Deviant/Deviation? ).
TRY AND MAKE deviantART A BETTER PLACE
I have added a thread in the Suggestion Forum here to try and appeal to the powers-that-be to consider incorporating user creations, like this script, into the deviantART website itself, rather than relying on userscripts. Please visit the thread and lend your voice to this appeal.

- Restart Firefox (to Initialise the Extension)
- Click HERE and select "Install"

I like the idea, but I wish the buttons weren't right next to the shop button.. if it were me I'd have stuck them at the end.

The creation of this script wasn't a random event (good pun). I was simply trawling the Suggestions Forum and saw someone who was saying that they were having trouble using the Random buttons.
I was trying to learn (and I continue to try and master) XPath actions along with JavaScript and GreaseMonkey, so this sounded like an interesting challenge.
So, armed with a Very Funky Image Encoding Script and "Mr Know-It-All", I was on my way.
I'm actually ecstatic that so many people are getting so much use and enjoyment out of something that took me all of half an hour to write.
Inspires me to keep on trawling that forum to try and find anything else I can build.

They're called "Userscripts", or, I prefer to call them "Hacks" (in the purest form of the word, of course).

Not as problem...
You can remove individual userscripts by going to Tools > Manage User Script, then select the script you want to remove and click the "Uninstall" button.
That's the easiest way. You can get to it from the user files side of things, but it's complicated and can lead to a messy deletion/removal problem...

I am debating whether to create a customisable version of this script, where users could set their own icons... And/or have different built-in icon sets.
