30x24 acrylic and ink on canvas. If it's really true that I have captrured a kingdom (as Deviant bone-white suggested), then it needs a capital! This particular canvas went through hell as I started and scrapped several failed efforts. Finally, I took out a spackling knife and violently scraped off all of the previous layers, as a less than sound surface had developed. I was left with a textured surface that resembled a craggy rock face, and this became the foundation for Citadel.Related content

You've developed a wonderfully textural surface there. I also like your value range and choice of colors. If you're going to use surfaces like that in your work, you might be better off working on a more rigid support such as luan board.
