Description
I recently made the larger of the airship's in this image as part of a commission for someone who was having a Steampunk birthday party. The smaller orange ship in the foreground was made during my final year at university.Since I had plenty of stock photos to work with I decided to assemble an airship chase using my fleet of existing machines, which I intend to expand upon greatly in the future.
I assume the smaller personal ship is being flown by some heroic swashbuckling air pirate type while being pursued by the larger airships, presumably operated by some pseudo-Victorian British military institute of sorts.
One thing is certain though: this is the slowest chase scene in history, no doubt relying on a lot of quick cuts and clever camera angles to suggest speed and intensity!
The models are pretty decent and photograph wonderfully. I'm also very pleased with the compositing of the models into the shot but I'm always looking to improve so feel free to comment! ^_^
