Description
Thoughts: Something unfamiliar, the character Tron, of Tron: Uprising.Merely a series of rough images, his facial features and overall structure is something I will have to adapt to. Moreover, the heavy, hard lighting featured in his imagery would be something interesting to contend with.
A dynamic and lithe figure, Tron should offer a balance to the stoic absoluteness often found with my work of Bartholomew Kuma. I find that it forms a useful dichotomy.
Details: An exercise sketch meant to familiarize myself with the features of Tron, of Tron: Uprising.
Materials: Mechanical pencil, sketchbook paper.

Thank you. Traditional work has it's place, and I am glad others can enjoy my humble exercises.

Aye, it's curious to see you here, Nimbus. I've encountered others who go by this username or that - and it's rather dizzying and difficult to follow and memorize. (Not that it's a necessity, of course.)
I still have plenty to learn of sketching Tron - and even more so in simply familiarizing myself with his appearance and concept. There are different aspects to rendering him in an environment (action, velocity, lighting, expressiveness) which I am not familiar with... So Tron poses many challenges.
In any case, I welcome the learning experience, and I hope that any work of mine is a welcome contribution to the Tron fans here within DA, and elsewhere on other media.

Heh heh, I know what you mean. Yes, Tron is an intriguing character to draw. I've actually just begun my first work on him.
Lately I've been investigating some of his facial expressions (he seems to be a surprisingly calm person, even in battle). Your art is beautiful, keep up the great work!

Thank you, DemonicCriminal! I appreciate the diverse opinion.
Personally, I do not consider my overall works so varied, but I do see values to each theme, both philosophically and visually, which prove to be fascinating challenges.
But to that end, I can't say that I've entirely met my own standards and potentials with such creativity, and there is much left to be addressed; I still consider most of my work a rather bland category of fan art. Much of any deeper points tend to be solely expressed in the Comments section of my work - and not embodied in the actual art itself. (But by the same measure, some things are not easily visually incorporated into one's work.)
Certainly the hard lights and smooth surfaces of Tron's figure will make for plenty to adapt to, especially in rendering those on paper effectively!
Many thanks again, DemonicCriminal! Take care.

Yeah i guess you're right about your galery not having many different deviantions, but this IS something fresh. Maybe you should try digital deviations, getting a graphic tablet and photoshop should be perfect. I know artist who didnt know much about digital art and showed to be more skilled in it a couple years later, than traditional drawing. Search for AdamBurn on DA, you'll be amazed.

Thank you for the pointer, Demonic.
I have wanted to get into digital work, but a lack of a tablet has been a problem. Perhaps I could remedy that some time, but I can't promise any time soon. Besides, I'm unwilling to stray far from the comforts of my sketchbook. That is, I wonder at the viability of blending the two forms of work - I presume that will come down to time, and stylistic luck. I have more than enough skills or habits I wish to break or acquire with traditional media alone.
Either way, a compelling thought. Thanks again!

Thank you kindly, AlchemistWitch.
I hope that other works will follow this one. Time will tell what they express. For now, it's good simply to know that others enjoy this stylization of Tron.

I would say first, do not mourn, fellow fans and artists will help carry that torch.
But I say second, stand up! There is an active group, pushing in all ways they can for more support and hope for Tron: Uprising. Small efforts can matter the most - there are many active petitions online, but I prefer to bring the fight straight to Disney's door: handwritten letters, with enclosed typed transcripts. That same group also shares images of their letters on all possible social media, and they proudly keep a count of how many letters they've sent.
Surely one more voice among them would be welcome. Don't hesitate to tell Disney directly of your admiration for Uprising. Every voice matters.
I've certainly done my part, and I plan to do more. It grants contribution, creativity, sharing, and strength to the community.

I would hesitate to call my (lack of) style 'fancy.' If anything, I am just beginning to see how I adapt to such rendering, and I am more curious to see how it will evolve. Time will tell, and I will gladly share what I can.
If it means inspiration or interest from others for this excellent series, then I consider it a purpose well served.

Nigh everywhere I look, I see people virtually enraged over the management of Tron: Uprising. For such a great work, someone set it to the executioner's stand, and there have been no answers.
At every place, there is a cry to have Tron: Uprising restored for a new season - until all of it's story has been told. Looking at it's craftsmanship, I wholly support this.
While there are online petitions (I've seen to those, myself), I prefer to take my regards straight to Disney.
We can't throw discs, but we can throw letters! We Users have a saying: 'The pen is mightier than the sword.' So, let Disney hear it, I say!
Written letters, a concrete effort - something held in the hands, able to be seen. There is an active community, sending letters with the start of each month. We keep our tallies with fierce pride. Each one of us is a contributing voice.
I can only hope that others will take up the cause.
Thank you for the commentary, Robert. I wish you luck in your own efforts!

There are those who refuse to give up. I am among them. We're taking what activities we can, and planning more.
Among our activities are letters straight to Disney. At the start of each month is another wave of letters. We let them know we are there, we let them know our enthusiasm. We place our creativity and written word and artwork into such letters.
It is a good feeling to participate. I can forward you the sending information, if you wish for it. Additionally, feel free to look up and join Tron Sector's forum. There are active threads in the Tron: Uprising section for our activities.

Artwork no, letters stating that Tron Uprising is a great show that actually can teach a person a lot and how if they were to end the show that they should had annouced it sooner and ended the show much more than CLU arraving to the city. And yeah,
Also, can i use your work to try and draw Tron?

Then it is good to know that you've sent letters to Disney. I'm glad to see yet another who has done so.
That is an honor that you ask to use my work, but my sketches are still quite flawed, as I see it.
My source for correctness or accuracy remains a ton of screenshots of Tron. I certainly refer to them often, since I hesitate at this or that exact facial angle or detail. Tron's prominent, angular nose and chin are problematic, as are his deep-set, narrow eyes.

Thank you, LaSirenofEire.
I don't consider myself to have much skill in rendering Tron, but studying his figure is an effort in subtlety. For all of it's simplicity, it makes his details all that more stark to work with.
I will just have to be patient and see what sketches or matter come about. I'm glad to share what I am able, though I hesitate at it's quality.
