Do you know anything about using Cintiq with a networked OC, can't draw when i'm connected with other people using that tablet but other tablet models work?

This helped. Alot.
Also, (this may be old), but I have a question about layers.
When making a layer 2 to color on, how come layer 1 is covering the coloring? Like, I can't see the coloring so it looks as if it's not colored.
(I hope you get what I'm saying. )

After seeing your tutorial, I have a question about OpenCanvas.
I downloaded the trial and there is this tool I can't seem to figure out. How do I select an area and move it? I use the selection tool like I would in Photoshop and SAI, and use the move tool to move my selection. Except in opencanvas, the entire layer moves around. How do I only move a specific area of a layer in OpenCanvas?

I know that this is an old comment, but I have the exact same problem with the selections in SAI and it's starting to really irritate me now... =A= Just wondering if you ever solved this mystery?

i found a solution, maybe not one you would like, but basically select and copy. i move that copy around and you can erase whatever was previously there then merge the two layers.

Ah, thank you so much for replying! And that's actually a pretty good idea, I'll definitely try that.
I suppose OC just never meant us to move selections... hahah.

Thanks for this, it really helped~ (: But just a question, how do you make it so that the brush color isnt so bold? Like you know, make it sort of transparent like? Cause i had mine like that, you see i had it at black (darkest shade) but when i would draw it would be like a light transparent like gray, i'd use it a lot for sketching. but now i forgot how i did that~ v_v you wouldnt happen to know would you>\?

Is there anyway that you can make the windows your drawing in have scroll bar tabs? I don't like the fact that you have to use the move button just to move the screen...?

Ok here's what you do: Click on "file" then click on "new" then you click on "ok". If you need any more help don't hesitate to ask.

wow, yours is so much more informative for not only beginners but more experienced users too; I'm glad you included a lot of this in this tutorial as I didn't know many of the shortcuts and stuff myself, and I've been using opencanvas 1.1 for yeeeaaars. Haha, amazing tut. (: thank you.

random question: to shade, do you change the opacity of a color (to darken is, example, having black at 15% over your desired color) or do you do something else? Everyone who has openCanvas makes really cool stuff, but I have photoshop and my art is... "okay"

Thanks for the helpful tips, but one still bugs my mind. When I make new layers and put... say blue on that layer, then go to a lower one and put red, it combines the colours instead of making the blue show up on top. How do I remedy the problem without erasing the red underneath?

Thanks for the tutorial! ^^ I just downloaded it. I have a problem though. I did left click the color I wanted to use for the brush and saved it, but it just colors white. Is there something wrong with the program or am I doing the wrong thing?
