Final step of the healing, now let time do its thing..It still hurts so badly though...
I love you Prince.
Rest in peace baby.
In my gut I felt like I needed to do this. For myself and him.
I'm going frame shopping tomorrow, before I leave for the week, and its being hung where I'll be able to see it, every morning when I wake up.
This still needs a tiny bit of work though, mostly with the background.
I can't even begin to explain how much better it looks in life though. I'm really starting to despise both my scanner and camera.
I chose to use my pastels and velour paper for this personal piece because of the softer quality of the art, dreamy almost.
And finally, this means so, so much to me, comments are extremely appreciated but critiques will not be dealt with kindly.

It seems that emotions truly can make a piece of artwork better.
I wish I had the words, and time, to express my love for this piece, and my respect for you. Not only your art skills, but your strength. I've never been able to have the power to draw a pet (Or rather, a friend), once they have passed away.
I'm sure this little guy is looking down on you now, feeling so proud of you and your achievements.
I only wish I could have the honour of seeing this in real life. Photographs never seem to do anything justice.

I find it extremely difficult to believe that you are not actually a 24 year old professional with a master's degree in fine arts.
And as cheesey as the following might sound, i mean every word:
I can tell the inexhaustible care and effort you put into this, despite what you say about the quality of the scan/photo. your skill with traditional media continues to astound me, and I always look up to you for your achievements.
This, by far, is a 'best' from you.
And in all seriousness, I have to admit, I really am jealous, because you've done something that I have been trying to do for a long time now-- you have immortalized a being close to your heart through your own hands. I am amazed.

Seriously, this is just...stunning. I don't even have words. And the fact that it's actually got meaning, it just makes it all the more enjoyable. Pieces with a history are always better than just flat drawings, in my opinion. C:
I'm so sorry about your cat, though <3 I was so heartbroken when my cat Snert died. My dad had him before I was even born, so I grew up with that cat. It still bothers now, even though it's been over five years :l

Very beautiful. I was very upset when my cat Milo died, so I definatly can understand. It still bugs me when I think of him, even though it's been a few years.

Prince actually looks like my cat Froggy (one of three I have now), though the faces are quite different. You've had a very nice cat, there. And he'll always be around, no one ever really leaves.
