Final step of the healing, now let time do its thing..It still hurts so badly though...
I love you Prince.
Rest in peace baby.
In my gut I felt like I needed to do this. For myself and him.
I'm going frame shopping tomorrow, before I leave for the week, and its being hung where I'll be able to see it, every morning when I wake up.
This still needs a tiny bit of work though, mostly with the background.
I can't even begin to explain how much better it looks in life though. I'm really starting to despise both my scanner and camera.
I chose to use my pastels and velour paper for this personal piece because of the softer quality of the art, dreamy almost.
And finally, this means so, so much to me, comments are extremely appreciated but critiques will not be dealt with kindly.

The more I look at it, the more alive he seems. The fur is perfect. Absolutely perfect. And his eyes are like nothing I've seen before. Such a stunning portrait. I'd always been too scared to draw my cat for fear of mucking something up, but maybe it would be a good idea. It is around the anniversary of his passing now anyway. *sad*

I just lost my cat that Ive had for 15 years. I plan to draw a portrait of her, but havent brought myself to do it yet. I dont know if I can put the effort into it right now, because it needs to be perfect.
Finding this in the DD section is a big inspiration to me. Now I know it is possible to capture the spirit of a precious pet in artwork. Well done, it's perfect.

I have no critique. His face says he was an older boy. I see an aged, relaxed kitty there. The pastel velor was a wonderful choice for this piece. Lovely.
