That's awesome, is it inspired by something real or just a random thing..?

That's amazing! Different to any other fractal that I have seen!
Congrats on the DD

This is fantastic. And I'm pleased you chose against using any colour, this is striking enough as it is. Fabulous work.
I have almost no tolerance for coding, but having seen art like this, dabbled very lightly with Processing (fascinating but.. argh, coding!), and watched MANY demos from the demoscene, I certainly have a lot of respect for coders that create ART with their programming. Massive thumbs up.

A very unusual fractal, one that makes you look over & over at it. I love the B& W of course, ... I'm a huge of that & I love your perspective & the energy in there !
An outstanding fractal & congrats on your DD !!!

thanks it was in my scraps, something like 3/4 of my stuff isn't in the "featured" gallery

Glad to see you get it (: I also suggested another fractal by you for DD but no result. Now, Congratulation!

Lovley use of perspective, it is coming right out of the picture. And the detaling is incredible, there is so much going on

I love the grain and the look of a pencil drawing! Wonderful energy and perspective.
Congrats on the DD

A very explosive piece with some really dynamic volumetrics! It's not everyday something ends up from Scraps to the Front Page, but you got it going on in this one! Excellent work and congratulations on the DD!

You're grain looks a bit like the kind a B/W film produces.

thanks, i had to do some tricks (non-sexual) to keep it and still have good edge antialiasing!

I've never really understood fractal art... and a lot of what I've seen has been a bit... meh.
But this... and your other work... amazing.

graphics coding is the closest thing i have to "religion", and fractals are particularly interesting (mathematical) things to visualise if you're at all interested in fractals and chaos, i'd strongly recommend watching this: [link]

So, I finally got around creating an account on deviantart (though I messed up my date of birth and seem to be unable to change it, *sigh*), so here i say:
Wow, fucking great render. Do you have it in hi-res?

heya bramz
as i've already sheepishly said, i didn't make a poster-res version of this image it's always disappointing for me when i can't satisfy my #1 fan...
