Tell me about it, it's awesome how some legends like Yoshinori Kanada innovated animation and how so many still figures out new ways to do movement: something I'm very interested in trying out and part of the reason I got into animation I'm not sure when there will be new stuff from me, I might need take a little break haha

I use Flash 8, previously Flash MX (which you can get for free: link ), but I still animate the same way, I changed because it's easier for me to collab with others since Flash 8 is more widely used

No, not really, I've slowly come to realisation that I'm not that creative with character designs, but maybe some day haha. All of my "characters" have been mostly one-offs, like here: link in the first animation.

How do you even animate a scene as intense and creative as this?

Animate a lot and try to make next animation better than the last, the more you do, more easier things become and more creative you are able to be. Also planning your animation helps, like sometimes I take piece of paper and make sketches, like storyboards. For moving backgrounds, always think that far away objects move slower and closer objects faster, this is very basic thing, but which have helped me enormously.

Hm...okay. Well I guess I'm just gonna have to work harder and better then. But thanks for answering my question, I'll try to figure it out as I go along~ But I have few more questions. How do you make a fight scene? How can it be storyboarded? And how can you make one without "copying" what's been done already? Please, I'd like to know.

Keep working hard and you will get there You can try to search videos and use keywords like "how to storyboard" and "how to make a fight scene", same rules applies to animation and for live action, animation you just have more freedoms (which also makes some things more difficult). I'm still new to this so I try not to say anything which would put you to wrong path. And how you do new stuff, I guess one way is to study fighting styles (and study how other animators do fights) and then experimenting with that knowledge, when you get better you have less and less limits which stops you from trying stuff out.

Draw everyday and practice fundamentals (anatomy , perspective ) I recommend moderndayjames and proko youtube channels for learning, but there are many more, these are just that first came to mind and have been really useful for me
