Unlike most Diictodons this species has some very unique anatomical differences when it comes to the general morphology of known Diictodons. The main morphological difference is the S shaped neck that allows for movement that is similar to that of mammals and is completely unique to entirety of the Dicynodontia clade. Less obvious but still important differences in the skeleton is the very large and deep jaw that all but unheard of in diictodons. Along with a compressed jugal shelf and very mammalian claws this Diictodon is a very aberrant species of these very ancient Therapsids.
