I am trying to work out why my model has 10,000 bones. Did you have to do the bones and add the joint and Verts yourself? If so Can you point me in the right direction Please?

I notice some models have way too many bones, I think it’s because XPS lets people merge models but doesn’t merge skeletons.
If you need help with your ports you can get advice from this discord discord.gg/8Y35Zz

True, XPS lets people merge models.
False, XPS can merge skeletons Combining two models with XPS .
CTrl+M "Modify-->Save scene as .mesh ... (Merge models)"
People just do not use it.
If a model have too many bones, XPS can fix this. The menu item is
Alt+F11 "Modify-->Clean Armature"
People just do not use it.
If people need help with their ports, they can get advice from this site xnalara.forumotion.com
BTW: Just 10,000 bones? I notice some models have 112,914 bones. No typo!

The bones are for facials, or the person who made the model xps didnt clean the rig.
You need to clean the uncessary bones off the model yourself, add physics and joints to necessary parts, and IK bones yourself.
It is normal to have MANY bones in the face though, as that is how you pose faces in XPS, not with sliders.
